Does the primer alone create enough pressure to move the bullet into the barrel?

I have had a couple squibs in 9mm over the years. Typically a couple taps with a brass hammer & punch and the bullet falls out the chamber. That is with standard primers. I don't know what a magnum primer would do.

Rimfire rifle vs shotgun for squirrel

While I'm not a squirrel hunter, my son is. I can tell you a good accurate pellet gun is devastating to squirrels. I can't remember what pellets he prefers, but he is quite discriminating on which pellets he uses for hunting.

Do you have sentimental hunting gear?

The first rifle I bought brand new is also the rifle I shot my first buck with, my largest buck with, my nephew shot his first buck with, and the first gun I learned to reload for. Me and that rifle have been through a lot together.

Do you actually use the best most optimal firearm/cartridge you have access to when hunting?

I voted no. I do hunt with cartridges capable of taking the game I want, but each year for different reasons. IE deer hunting. Usually I take my newest rifle capable of taking deer. Next deer season I will be hunting with my dad's old Marlin 336. He has recently passed and I have already...

Gutless method of field dressing a critter.

There is a video on you tube called skin and process a deer in 10 minutes by deer and deer hunting. Look it up. I have done this the last couple years as it's been unseasonably warm for deer season and haven't been able to let my deer hang in my shed so I have done this method and put them in...

Best metering powder for 350 Legend

My son is a little recoil sensitive and so I have been reloading 124 gr RMR 9mm pistol rounds to give him lots of trigger time. I have been struggling with metering H110. It's not as consistent as I would like. So I am forced to drop a light charge and trickle up. While this is not a problem...

    Too quick with the lever.

I've had great luck putting stuck cases in the freezer for a couple hrs. I think it's because brass shrinks faster than steel.

Target/Training Rifle - Savage MkII or Ruger 10/22

I'm a lefty and I have shot 10/22s and Marlin model 60's. Both shot fine but I hated the brass being ejected right in front of my eyes. Get a left hand bolt gun. CZ's shoot lights out.

    Hazmat fees

Like AK hunter and others have said , go with big orders for yourself or try to do a group buy if you know another reloader in your area. I usually buy a powder, from a local source, that I want to try. Then make a large purchase online. Watch for sales or free hazmat deals.

Anyone use H110 for .22 Hornet?

I load H110 for 350 legend and have no problems with standard primers.

    Ruger Marlin 336 Is Here

I have an older Marlin 336 in 35 Rem that belonged to my dad, serious sentimental value, but I can't wait to see these new 336's show up at my lgs.
