LOL....that is Central Florida, near where I bought the PMR. My wife's Sister and BIL own about 25 acres on the St. Johns River out in the middle of no where. Great for shooting pistols.
Here are two of the three I keep outside the safe. The Mossberg 590 lives in my bedroom closet, 9 rounds of 00 Buck inside and 6 more on the sidesaddle. Ruger Police Service Six loaded with 158 gr. JHP in a tall cabinet by the front door. Under the bed is a Glock 21 loaded with Black Talons...
Mine is in my home office. I have the large metal desiccant canister, it changes color when it is saturated....pop it in the oven, let it cool and re-use it.
Our house is a slab house, not off grade. So I I bolted it it the slab with SS bolts and anchors. That with the almost 900 pound...
Those are great little lights. I ordered 2, one for the vehicle and one to keep with my Glock 21 under the bed (2nd Gen, no rail). My sister saw it, now she wants one, her friend wants one, my wife wants one, and even my 83 year old mother wants one.
I wonder if I can get a volume...
Almost always. I have a variety of Swiss Army knives and used to carry the Soldier model everywhere. I have an old Schrade Cliphanger that is about 20 years old and has served me well.
But, I recently upgraded....automatics are legal here and I treated myself to a Gerber Covert Automatic. It...
Yes it is probably the most "fun" firearm to shoot that I own. And you are right, the recoil is almost non-existent, it it very easy to keep on target. My wife loves it too...she is a lefty and the ambidextrous safety and heel mag release make it it easy for her to shoot as well.
Kel Tec specifically recommends CCI Maxi Mag 40 grain ammo. I have put about 500 rounds of it through my PMR with no problems. I did have 2 FTFD's the first time I shot it but I put that on me. There is a certain way to load the mags and I think I messed up. It digests both the TMJ and JHP...
AMT Backup...I inherited 2 when a friend died, one in .45 and one in .380. I shot the .45 twice....it removed skin from my thumb knuckle both times. The only gun I have even disliked shooting. I never even fired the .380. Traded them both in (with a little cash) on a brand new Glock 30SF and...
Kel Tec PMR-30. It is an absolute pleasure to shoot, and weighs 19 oz. loaded with 30 rounds of .22 WMR. They are hard to find, but if you want a fun pistol that is cheap to shoot they are worth the wait.
Here is a short video from the day I got it. The mag springs were tight so I could...
I saw a PMR-30 at Christmas and knew I wanted one. Came home and called around, got prices from 500.00 to "we auction them off". Found a GS in Cocoa Beach (home of Kel Tec). They quoted me 349.99 and asked for a 100.00 deposit. I put it on order and 6 weeks later got the call that it was in...
Florida Noob...
Greetings from NE Florida. I ran across this site will researching getting an FFL. I have a fairly good sized collection of both old and new firearms. I recently got back into shooting and have been adding to the collection. I look forward to getting to know some of you...
