I just need the 10 round mag to keep it at home. At the range is a different story...since ALL ranges are outside Chicago, I can get away using high cap magazines!

The reason why I choose 9mm vs 45 ACP is budget. XD is an option, it does come with 10 round mags. Ruger...not sure about quality.

Hi, So I live in Chicago and really want to get a 9mm. Since Chicago has the high capacity magazine ban, I'm limited to a few options for 9mm that come with a 10 round mag or can get an after market one. Pretty sure I'll go with the Glock 19, but I thought I'll ask around see what you guys...

Just got a response from Springfield:

That's because there are no gun shops left in Chicago! I have to go out of cook county to shoot, buy ammo, etc and the high capacity mag laws don't't apply there.
