    Barska Scopes

I've got a Barska red dot that's been very reliable. No data on the scopes though.

I seem to have lost my Boy Scout knife :(

I've got an old Camillus BSA Ulster as well as the 2 bladed Whittling knife with BSA logo by Camillus. Is the whittler particularly collectible? It's not my daily carry knife but it does get a fair bit of use.

Blazer CCI High Velocity Case + Ruger Mark III Targer

Should be OK to shoot any Standard or High velocity .22LR cartridge. As stated in the manual on pg. 14. I routinely use the CCI mini-mags in mine.

Ruger mark III: anyone using hiviz sight set?

Many of us MkIII hunter owners have swapped out the rear "v" notch for a normal square notch (with the white outline) and found it to be a better sight picture when transitioning to the high viz front light tube.

    Lever action or semi-auto .22?

I'd suggest there's plenty of people that "get" the lever gun's goodness. To the tune of over 7 million model 94's sold making it the most successful rifle model ever produced... My two boys honed their skills with the 94 and of all the rifles in my cabinet it's taken the most big game of all...

    Your first rifle

Rem 742 woodsmaster in 30-06. Was stolen from my uncle's gun cabinet about 25 yrs ago along with all his guns. It was one of the ADL's with the basketweave checkering and monte carlo stock. Still pissed...:fire:

    Lever action or semi-auto .22?

I suspect the price difference between the semi-auto and the lever action is due to the fact that the blowback semi auto action is very simple in design and usually uses very few parts compared to the lever. JMHO.

    Ruger MKIII target

I'm betting the upper receiver and the lower frame are mis-aligned a bit and causing the lever to get caught. Try slightly tapping the upper with a plastic or wooden mallet when you have the mainspring lever out as far as you can. I can't tell you in which direction tapping would work but my...

"The Avalanche" - Slingshot Of Mass Destruction

I know that if I wanted to discuss practical slingshot designs, Joerg is the first person I'd ask. True, but my point was totally dismissed... I contend the outrageous designs he comes up with are impractical unless viewed as pure novelties, hence my point of including a real life event for...

"The Avalanche" - Slingshot Of Mass Destruction

While this is really cool for use and show on YouTube it's not practical. Not to rain on your parade or anything but... The Kohler WI riots of 1934 were a prime example of the power of sling shots and their use. Projectiles were mere 1/2" bolts from simple slingshots. 2 killed and 34 injured...

    Handgun Flares?

Navy uses dye packs now for at sea location as well as emergency locating beacons. Beacon activates when in contact with salt water and if an aircraft is noticed in your search area the dye packs are jetisoned and turn the water a very noticable hi-vis flourescent green color.

I've got the pro DS in .40 as well. I only have about 400 rds thru mine but have had no problems. Seems to like the cheap SoAm ammo just fine.
