Here's a pic of my Collet A. This is the first collet to go into the die. The "355 A" faces up with the flared end to be clear. Collet B with its radiused end rests inside the flared part of Collet A, right?
That said, collet B did not need any polishing. The bullet dropped freely. What got...
Sorry to bump an old thread but need a little help here.
I'm using 147gr .356 9mm Moly Coated bullets. These would not drop through the Hornady Die.
I came across the youtube vid regarding polishing the collets for lead bullets. Went to borrow my dads dremel and had to do the polishing...
I may be doing something wrong here so I'll double check my steps.
I have 556 military crimp brass. Using X-die and CTS Trimmer
1) Deprime
2) Stainless wet tumble (like clean primer pockets)
3) Lube and Full length size all (required for x-die for initial pass)
4) Tumble To Remove Lube...
Locally I've been offered a New In Box RCBS JR3 Single Stage press. It comes with a Uniflow Powder Measure, shell holder for 9mm, and some Lee bullet molding equipment too. The molding stuff I dont need.
He was asking $150 but that included a set of 9mm dies that just got sold. I'm guessing...
I'm about to buy 5 50cal ammo cans for $50 but noticed the seller said the seals are all gone. This just increases the cost per can now.
For whatever reason, there are no replacement gaskets online and I've surfed the entire web :neener:
Some use RTV and other things.
Anyone have any...
So I don't like the stock LnL handle. I didn't want to bend it. I couldn't find a 5/8-18 die so I found 5/8-18 all thread.
What do you think? The roller part is just 3/4 brass pipe. It spins freely.
I think it's overall too long. It seems to hand past the press more than the InlineFab one or...
Thanks for the responses guys.
I didn't think spending $100 plus was needed. As for loading 9mm and 45. I use a Powderfunnels ptx. It's not caliber specific. One is used for all pistol calibers. Not sure how that changed things. I imagine it that would stay in the pistol Quick Change Die. The...
I've only loaded 9mm and 45. The change to 45 after having it setup for 9mm was tedious.
I'm about to start loading 223 and just realized what seems to be a much bigger pain....the Powder Drop.
It seems like getting a completely separate powder drop is the only way. It's $70 plus another...
I have no clue what is going on here. I've been loading 9mm for over a year and just switched everything out to 45.
I'm only de-capping/sizing at this point. I dumped in maybe 200 cases of 45 and things are fine. I de-cap about 50 or so. I had one clog with the case feeder but no problem...
