I snagged A Thompson Center Icon rifle (new) for $549 at Bass Pro. It's a discontinued model; 243 win, blue barrel, synthetic stock. I added a Bushnell scope Trophy XLT DOA 3-9x40. Not a top shelf scope; hopefully I won't regret skimping. But it did make for a cost effective setup.
