Do any of you have experience with this Gold Dot bullet? What about velocities and pressure signs?
I want to purchase these bullets to use in my 45 Colt clones as defense loads. The Speer #14 manual is the only source I’ve found and it seems to me that the powders they recommend are all on...
Side note: Bullet setback
I have a Sig 232 also, and am plagued by the problem of not hanging up on the feed ramp but, hitting it mid-center and pushing the bullet deeper into the case on each round chambered. It always feeds the round properly into the chamber with any ammunition I have...
Is there anyone out there that can measure, for me, the Cartridge Overall Length of the .380 Remington 102 grain Golden Saber factory cartridge.
I have received 1000 GS bullets for reloading from Midway today.
A Remington ballistic chart I found claims 940 fps in a 4 inch barrel with this...
I purchased a Remington Model 798 in .308 back in October 2007. I paid a gunsmith to adjust the trigger and lap the Mauser bolt. The rails were very rough and did the rifle a real disservice. It’s a handsome firearm that needs some TLC right out of the box.
I am well pleased with the...
I have a Remington Model 1100 12 ga. with a smooth bore deer barrel and iron sights. I have also added a 7+1 extended magazine tube and want to use the reduced load Slugs and OO Buck Shot loads for home defense.
Will the low recoil loads properly cycle the 1100 or will it short stroke?
I...
Thanks VARifleman,
Does that mean the four rounder will work with my gun? It is brand spankin' new and I wish to leave it stock as purchased except for the side carrier.
I know i am being redundant, but don't want to invest 60+ $ in something that might not work.
Thanks Taurus44,
Yes, the shotgun has the longer fore end that tapers down to the rear and partially covers the receiver when pulled back. On closer observation it appears the forearm will be hampered by the carrier when action is cycled. Do I need a stock mount carrier?
I have just purchased a Remington 870 Express with 18 ½ in. barrel equipped with the extended magazine for HD. I am considering adding a 12 ga, Mesa Tactical 4 round Sureshell carrier from MidwayUSA. They sell right and left side carriers.
In y’all’s opinion which should I purchase...
As an owner of a S&W M16-4 .32 H&R Magnum I am excited about the new .327 Federal Magnum cartridge and its true magnum status. Its creation is reminiscent of the .38 Special / .357 magnum and .44 Special / .44 Magnum evolution.
The maximum pressure rating of the .327 Federal Magnum (45,000...
Dose anyone out there own one of these Air Rifles? If so, tell me about it.
Is the Scope that comes with it any good?
Dose the noise damper really reduce the noise as advertised? 52%.
Will it shoot as fast as advertised?
See Ad: American Rifleman March 2008 p26.
One nice thing about the wax application is, it will not harm primers or powder. Seems like finger application is the way to go.
Remeber - It aint no fun unless you can get some on ya!
223 Carbide Die
Here's my 223 Carbide die. It's stamped "Dillon 223 F.L. Carbide Sizing" die and has a full length carbide sleeve, not a ring of carbide. I purchased it from Dillon about 1983 or 84.
It sizes cases properly and I do not lube them. I do make sure the brass is inspected...
I have the .45 CX4 (8000 series - 8045) and want to attach a laser sight to the rail that extends from the front of the stock.
Factory "Iron" sights are un-useable, for me, in low light and difficult in bright light. I feel a laser attached as above would be very practical in at close ranges...
Welcome to the Forum jtmaster6,
I have owned the CW9 for over 6 months now and have no complaints. It has been 100% reliable with just over 500 rounds and several makes of ammo, including CCI Blazer and Winchester White Box. I carry the Winchester Ranger SXT 124 gr. +P+.
The one thing I...
Keep in mind the Kahr's have a 200 round break-in period, and a firm grip is needed. Same for the Kel-Tec P-3AT, and other small autos. No limp wristing. The J frame is good to go out of the box. Just load it and pull the trigger. That being said, my Kahr CW9 is 100 percent reliable. About...
I pocket CCW either a S&W M642 .38 Special or Kahr CW9 9mm. To me they are both great pocket carry pieces.
The biggest problem, for me, is finding pants with deep enough pockets. I find Dockers and Izod's to be very good , especially the pleated ones. The Izod 's have a little deeper...
This is a true story!
Many years ago I owned a T/C .45 cal muzzle loader as well as the T/C Seneca .36 Cal. While at the range, along with other muzzle loading members and enthusiast, I fired my ram rod away while shooting the .45. BiGGG recoil was my first indicator then I noticed the...
