Let's keep in mind that Alliant Powder does not own any powder production facilities. Much of their flake powder is made at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant (aka Radford Arsenal), a US Government facility in Radford, VA that is run under contract by BAE Systems. Given that Uncle Sam owns the...
A big factor in current powder prices is the global shortage of nitrocellulose, the key ingredient in smokeless powder. China and Russia were the two biggest global producers of nitrocellulose. Obviously Russia is out of the picture and China has constrained exports to US and NATO.
Not all indoor ranges are bad. I shoot at an indoor range weekly, dry tumble, and load around 12k rounds a year. My last blood lead level was a 2. The range I frequent has very good ventilation and filtration though.
It seems like Montana Gold has been out of stock on everything for awhile. Now I see at the top of their web page that the entire bullet plant is for sale. I realize there are other quality jacketed bullet manufacturers (RMR, Precision Delta and Zero come to mind) but it is always sad to see a...

FWIW, Lyman 49 and Lyman 50 both have rifle loads for 9mm using a Ruger PC9 carbine as the test barrel. They indicate Power Pistol produced the best results with 115 gr and 125 gr jacketed.
