75 % of self defense shootouts are within 10 yards and some don't have time for sighting other than pointing. It doesn't bother me a bit to turn loose four 000 buck pellets with one pull of the trigger. I test rounds first hand and refuse to carry a round I only read about. If you can point and...
I agree with glocking26, there's no room for guess work with a bond arms derringer. You have either shot one or you haven't . So horror stories about how terrible they are is just speculation . Now I will say that mine is a texas defender with snake slayer grips and either 45/410 , .357 or 40...
diddo on Classified00, I've got the 45/410, .357 and 40 s&w barrels . I love it ,easy to carry and not once have I had it not fire when I pulled the trigger . I probably shoot it as much as my 22. But hey, I collect tc contender barrels too.
There are some pretty nasty 410 self defense loads...
the caps are stamped in a manner as to help cause the cap to split when fired and fall free. If you cycled the gun with the muzzle upward . This would allow the spent caps to fall free.
There a great little gun, just swing open the barrel so you can see the firing pin holes and while pressing the trigger ,press forward on the hammer with your thumb and see which hole the pin is sticking out of . It will fire the other hole when the hammer is cocked the next time. (do this with...
Not looking for trouble but you can spend a lot of time and money just getting an after market barrel to cycle as well as the stock one , kind of reinventing the wheel. If you cast your own bullets ,try waterdropping them . Just cast like you normally would ,but when you open the mold to drop the...
lelitack32f1, lone wolf has a drop in barrel that would make it a gen4 g22. I was thinking of getting the 9mm barrel from them to make mine a g19 if I needed it to be. (in case of future ammo shortage) I think they are a little over a hundred bucks.
You could check Lone Wolf for a different barrel, have heard great feedback on them. And they are fairly cheap. I really like the barrel lettering on the muzzle that says "wait for the flash"
:DI agree with wrench about glocks but the reason most suggest starting with a revolver is because women as a rule don't have a strong enough hand and wrist for the auto to cycle correctly. Not to say all women ,some can do it very well.
