So I just realised all my .45 acp Federal Champion brass I have been keeping, has small pistol primers. Whyyyy!!!
I guess I should have checked,but anyway.
How does this effect my load? All my books give loads for large primers. Is it stupid to hope I can use same loads with small primers?
Hi there all
I am reallllly new to reloading. I have been collecting my brass and was wondering if the cases(.45acp by the way) that have slightly dented mouths are usable? I am not talking badly dented, just a hair.
How perfect does the brass have to be?
Not sure about the rules regarding shooting it, here in CT, but I know that if you kill it with a car you can get a cop to tag it and you can at least take it home.
Hi there.
Is there any reason for a total noobie to competition shooting to not start in the ESP division as opposed to SSP division?
I stipples the front of my MP 45 grip which would put me in ESP. Is the level of competition higher in that division or should I not worry about it?
It's...
That makes sense about the extinguishing. I will be getting manuals in near future(dont worry,I am not going to load without them).
Thanks for the advice.
Hi there all.
So I realize and understand why never to store powder and primers together, but what, beside impact or fire, can set off primers in storage? What type of fire extinguisher is best for controlling burning powder?
Then, does anyone have any links to articles/resources explaining...
In south africa few days go by that I don't get the exact same problem , most days I just don't make eye contact and pretend I don't notice them (while always keeping them in sight just incase they make a move) Here you won't find many people carrying openly because it makes you a target ...
I was told that might hurt you more in the civil case(when/if family of dead guy sues you) than the criminal case. Any thoughts on that? Not that I intend on shooting anyone anytime soon.
I must say, I have my heart set on a 1911 of some kind.I know it's maybe not the best choice for competition, but I am hoping I will just get used to it. I shot an real nice Colt a while ago and that trigger is sweet.
I have noticed before that people seem to differentiate between the two in terms of how much effort they are prepared to put into setting up a gun. The comments are usually," I am just using it for home defense, so I don't want to spend too much".
Surely that is when you want it to go bang...
Hi there all. I have seem these for sale occasionally for pretty good prices. Is there anything wrong with them or are they as good as any current Dan Wesson?
