    HK P30 12 yard target

I just ordered a P30L LEM should get it this week...hopefully I'll be putting up targets to match this. Are you running the stock sights or did you upgrade them?

    What 9mm Next?

A non-polymer gun that is kinda unique and fun to shoot without being overly expensive but, doesn't feel like your Hi-power...Maybe a Kahr T9? I think I saw one on buds for about 650. I love my K9's and the T9 is just a little bigger and overall a very nice shooter.

Skribs, I think they are planning on releasing them to the general public...but, I don't know when that would be.

    FNX

Skribs, I did get it through OMBguns and FNH's LEO program. I qualified as active duty Military Police. I don't have any pictures up yet but have been planning on putting some up before too long. There will be a compact model without the safety according to OMBguns...I am considering...

    FNX

I have an FNS I was able to purchase with out the safety from OMBguns. I shoot it better than my M&P and love the ambi controls and overall ergos, texturing and night sights (which are similar to trijicon HD sights but, not quite as good). So far it has been 100% reliable through the 854...

    9mm Choice

Doc, The 19 is technically a compact but, I wouldn't really consider it's size compact especially, compared to the shield. It is what I voted for but, with a caveat. Their have been some issue with the post 2011 glocks (mostly with erratic extraction and ejection). I think it is an easy fix...

Hk P30 v Glock 19 (ONLY for those who have experience with both)

    1. Carry on person: I'd probably go with the 19 but, with anyone of the great holster/belt combo options out there you can conceal the P30 w/o issue. P30 is a bit bigger and a little heavier I think. 2. Reliability: Glock had a rep for stupid good reliability but, have had some recent issues...

    Glock 19 or Kahr TP9

I like all of those choices for the reasons you pointed out. If you get a good holster and good belt the 19 can be very comfortable but, I sometimes forget I even have my P9 on when I carry it.

    Kahr CS not very good

I would like to second benzino... Also, keep in mind no matter how hard you try, you cannot win the internet.

    used Kahr CW9

Seems like a fair price. Mags run about $25-30 and you can find the gun new for about $370 with one mag. I don't think it is a rip off IMO.

    Feedback on H&K P30

Todd Green did an endurance test of one at pistol-training.com and put more than 90,000 rounds through one over the course of about 40 weeks. i think he had maybe 10 stoppages and 5 springs or some other parts break. It is probably the most comprehensive review out there and he highly...

Just turned 21: Need opinions on Bersa Thunder .380

I just took an concealed handgun course and we fired about 200 rounds. The one gentlemen that was using the bersa 380 had several failures. I owned one a while ago that was given to me as a gift. I had a couple of failures to eject with it and later traded it on another gun. I would not...

Which Glock for concealed carry?? G19 vs G26?

Of those two I would pick the G19. I like the G26 with the grip extension but, with it, it's not much smaller than the 19 in my opinion.

    New gun for concealed carry

I have a M&Pc and it is very good. The 26 is a great gun but, if you are going to put a grip extender on it I don't thing there is a reason to go with a 26 over a 19. I personally don't like the ruger's grip, but if you want a manual safety it's not a bad gun either. I don't care for the...

    Military/LE programs

Nushif, Yes it is not permitted. I know the Marine Corps just posted a MARADMIN about it and I think it has been the case for a while. Typically if you want to stay with in this regulation a either a copy of you LES, or most recent orders and another ID will work, S&W allows you to do this for...

    Military/LE programs

Bud's Police Supply has some great deals. I am lucky being stationed in Lexington...Bud's is my LGS. Don't forget even after getting the M&P for 399 from them you can still get S&W's Nation's Finest program. It's a $50 mail in rebate, takes about 6 weeks but, they send you a check, thank you...

    New gun for old hands

Brian, Welcome to the site. I think you probably have the right answer with the Glock. From what I have seen it is the cheapest and easiest to install a lighter trigger on. Easy to find and easy to install (from what I've heard). I like the Kahr trigger as far as smooth trigger though...
