I got mine back in about ten minutes earlier this week. I took off from work early to pick up the latest purchase so it was between 3-4 PM. Usually, I'm doing it between 5-6 PM and there's about a 45 minute wait. LGS thinks its due to shift change.
Try going to a competition. I had been shooting black powder for about a month, then I went to a competition under the NMLRA. The shoot's director was very helpful in teaching me new techniques and what and how to load with. Also, everyone there was ultra-friendly. I need to go to the next one.

Many of these are from my personal collection or I have shot a lot. I went a little heavy with the...
This annoys me. What kind if environmental impact does a 180 grain bullet make when shot at a mobile 4 legged creature? I can see banning lead shot at a duck pond but this is ridiculous.
I traded my 30 Carbine Blackhawk away and have no regrets about the trade since I got an awesome double action revolver. I really enjoyed mine when I had it though and would buy another one if I had the cash and opportunity.
I'm not going to sell my S and W Model 65 3" but I will give it away when my son is old enough. Out of all the guns in my collection it is my son's favorite.
I just started shooting black powder about six weeks ago. So far, I love it. Today at dinner, I asked my son to pass the black powder when I meant the pepper. I'm getting addicted.
This thread inspired me to get a Ruger Old Army. I finally found one that was NIB or at least fired very little. I traded my last polymer framed handgun for her.
Here she is just after the first range session.
I feel like the decline in legal gun owners is really what they were after. "Separating the weeds from the clutter" like the author of the bill said. Also Feinstein during her grandstanding announcement of her bill said that the goal is phasing out assault weapons. They can't totally ban the...
I am proud to be a Californian, but now I rethinking that pride. My plan was to move back to california when I retire, but now I may not if this law passes.
I've written letters and emails to the national officials and emails to the state. I've also emailed to everyone using the tool on Ruger's website. I've gotten a few responses and now know where some of them side on the issue.
For those of you that remember, what was the mood of the time when the GCA of '68 was passed. What did gun advocates write against the act? Did the firearms publications of the day have anything to say about it?
