    Priming on the press...?

I use a Lyman AA-8 turret and the on press priming is not so great. Then it broke when I tried to change out from large to small primers. Frustrated with that, I ordered this and couldn't be happier...

    .44 Magnum first shots - I'm hooked

Truth be told, I wouldn't mind both. But I'm getting a .44 Magnum first. I've very much enjoyed the discussion here on this thread so thank you all.

    .44 Magnum first shots - I'm hooked

Oh no doubt. I knew I was in for it as soon as I saw him pull out the 3" 629. Admittedly, I probably will not be looking to buy a short barreled .44 magnum anytime soon. I definitely think a 6" or so barrel is the sweet spot for me and what I want to do with it.

    RMR discount code

This is very good advice. I've had many questions come up over the past few years that I would find an answer to through some Google searches on this forum. There are some very knowledgeable people on this forum but the number of people willing to share is important too.

    "Gun guy" Attitudes

It seems in pretty much any hobby/enthusiast circle there are going to be zealots of all kinds. It happens when folks invest so much time, money, and effort into these things. They become emotionally attached to their choices and denigrate others. I see this in my areas, guns are far from...

    .44 Magnum first shots - I'm hooked

I believe it! I figured a 3" .44 was a harsh introduction but who was I to say no. :)

    .44 Magnum first shots - I'm hooked

Thank you for the compliments. I typically favored revolvers in 3" or 4" until I bought my Model 27 on a whim because the price is right. For target work, the 6" barrel is sublime. I do enjoy shooting my 28 though. I shoot DA some but not a ton, especially with the 27. It is definitely a...

    Are handloaders better shots

Let's just say I reload better than I shoot.

    When do you stop reloading?

The last time I stopped was because my wife was yelling at me that dinner was ready. I was trying to get 50 rounds of .357 made up. That was April and I haven't touched the bench since. Life has been not fun lately. But now the weather is cooling off and I am getting a little more free time...

    .44 Magnum first shots - I'm hooked

Thanks for the comments, everyone! The discussion around SBHs reminded me that I had been looking at the SBH Hunter a while back in .44 Mag. Anyone have any experience with those? I do know from my own experience that the Ruger Bisley grip and I don't seem to get along well. I shot one a while...

    .44 Magnum first shots - I'm hooked

I've been rolling that option around in my head too. Plus it would scratch the itch I have for a single action revolver. Something to ponder for sure.

    .44 Magnum first shots - I'm hooked

I've become a bit revolver obsessed over the past few years. Thanks to a buddy of mine, I've gotten the chance to try several different ones in .38, .357, .45 Colt, .45 ACP & 10mm. I have acquired a couple myself, a Model 27-2 and 28-2. And I have also obsessed over working up various .357 loads...

Revolvers You’d Like To See Return

Too many to list... S&W Mountain Guns S&W (6)24 S&W (6)25 - Yes I know they offer a classic 25 in .45 Colt but blued in .45 ACP would be sublime S&W Model 27 in 3.5" barrel - I'd prefer pinned and recessed but new model would do S&W Model 1917

    The Unloaded Gun

A local gun shop has a very large glass jar on their counter with various rounds of ammo. That is the jar where they throw rounds they clear out of "unloaded" guns brought in by their customers and it's nearly full.

357 load development and casual observations

Did you settle on a 2400 load or is still that in progress? Nice thread, I'm enjoying it!

Why are hornaday lead loads so anemic

That follows what I've been reading lately, that I need to look toward softer bullets/alloys for the loads I'm looking at doing.

Why are hornaday lead loads so anemic

Thank you. As I mentioned in another thread, I'm trying to collect as much data around those particular loadings as I can. Appreciate it. :)

    Primer Alternatives for 357 Magnum

If you have Alliant powders, take a look at their recipes for .357 many (most? all?) call for regular small pistol primers: https://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/
