    AR Gas Block Take-Off-- HELP

Oh I know they've done it and it can be done but I'm mainly not cutting it down bc it was a gift and I plan to return the parts I don't use or switch out for use on future rifles. Not to mention other than a hacksaw, I doubt I could do or with my tools. Not much of an armorer.

    AR Gas Block Take-Off-- HELP

Yeah, I gotta get my hand out further on the rail, so a Troy Alpha 15" is in the works. Not too keen to cannibalize the sight tower and I know I'll have to remove the handguard cap and switch out the delta ring for Troy's barrel nut. My real concern is will I need a specific gas block? I see...

    AR Gas Block Take-Off-- HELP

Ok, I'm looking to switch out a standard front sight tower with a low profile gas block and plan to trade out the old carbine handguards with a midlength or longer rail. My question is how do I go about doing this? I don't understand the .750, .625 bore, clamp-mounted or set screw mounted...

    M&P 9mm Barrel in .40 Slide Assembly??

haha, thanks guys. I'm working off what I've read in other forums on the barrel and have also seen guys drop in 9mm factory barrels into their M&P .40 with a 9mm mag and it seems to shoot just fine. I'm not doing that. Mainly just wanted to hear about what all is involved in the swap. I plan...

    M&P 9mm Barrel in .40 Slide Assembly??

Ok, I have an M&P Compact .40 caliber and want to shoot 9mm through it. I have a few questions on how to do so: First, I've heard you MUST use a ".40 to 9mm Conversion" barrel in order for it to lock up tight enough. Is that true, or is it a minimal safety/performance concern? Second, I've...

    Raven Concealment Backup Holster

I'm going to start carrying a backup pistol (P3AT) and I really like the idea of a belt holster instead of a goofy ankle or pocket holster. I saw the Raven Concealment Industries Eclipse "Iverson" Holster, but cannot find a single review of the holster and absolutely no pics other than what is...

    Refinishing an 870

Good info guys! Yeah I'd much rather buy an 870 for 125 (hopefully not a riot cut down for a department, 14.5 inches=another $200 tax stamp or $130 for a barrel) and just throw on the stock/forend. AIP is the only place I've found that is in my price range, thanks LeonCarr

    Refinishing an 870

I have an old wingmaster and don't get me wrong, the oldschool bluing is beautiful, but it just doesnt work for the look I want. I'm trying to make it a little more tactical, make it so I'm not afraid to use and abuse it. So I want it parkerized or a finish that is as strong and ugly as parker...

Colonial Shooting Academy- just an experience

Not the trigger pin, I have a 3-pin Glock. I had a two hand grip overlaying my thumbs and the locking block pin backed out, not the trigger housing pin or trigger pin. Definitely getting my pins mixed up.

Glock 22 issue- locking block pin

I'll definitely switch out the pin. This was a police trade-in and was detail stripped maybe once or twice in the 15 or so years it's had its walkin around shoes.

Glock 22 issue- locking block pin

Put a few mags of .40 180 gr JHP/FMJ through my Glock 22 the other day and the locking block pin almost backed all the way out. I compared it to my Glock 23 and the 23 is ridiculously tight where the 22 can be pressed out with your fingernail and twisted by hand. Obviously I can go shooting my...

Colonial Shooting Academy- just an experience

That's awesome! Again, it was just the first impression and I had a great time, just more kinks than when I've gone to Cavalier. I intend to join, just haven't made myself do it yet. From what I remember there was just one firing line open at the time, just to the left behind the rent-a-gun...

Colonial Shooting Academy- just an experience

Finally got a chance to go shooting at the brand new range and though I got a huge load off my shoulders in the way of zeroing an AR, I found a huge flaw in my Glock 22. I was fortunate enough to be a member's guest and all I had to worry about was getting a safety brief. So Megan and I had...

    Glock Slide and Frame/Receiver Compatibility

I may be way off here, but is it possible to interchange any of the Glock caliber-specific receivers or frames with other Glock slides? Not sure if this is the best way to explain what I mean, but could a complete Glock 22 slide (and barrel of course, plus recoil rod/spring) be put on a Glock 23...

Brinks Gaurd and open carry in NY

Not LEO at all. Definitely a grey area. His company definitely doesn't allow him to carry that firearm outside of his job so he probably has a bit of a GI Joe feeling when he has a gun and nobody else does. I see guys in Sheetz or Wawa every day that work for ASG or the like, in uniform but off...

    private sale quesiton

Actually if that's the case, you are technically a resident of Michigan. In VA, we have seperate laws pertaining to college students from out of state. While they're living in the state to go to school, they are full pledged residents and the law effects them accordingly.

2 weeks vacation in NC and VA what to take?

How do you like that Sub2000 anyway? I was lookin into gettin one for a trunk gun, I already got a ton of glock mags and figured it'd be a good investment if it doesn't malfunction and has good accuracy out to 200 meters.

2 weeks vacation in NC and VA what to take?

haha no such thing as to much, as long as you're doing it legally. I know guys that drive around with a Mossberg 590 and M4 in the trunk, M&P9 in the glove box, M&P.45 on their hip and a P3at in their wallet pocket every day... I'm sure taking along a couple favorites in case you hit up a range...

Firing 9mm with thumb over slide plate cover

Purposes: I've also been told that it is a technique SOF and the like use to further silence a suppressed sidearm and to catch the shell for safe-keeping, which is viable though super secret squirrel. The more reasonable answer is Sam1911s, using it against an attacker to create time and...
