Thanks! I do like Weaver scopes (Made in Japan models) and have one on a Winchester 70 in .280 Rem which has taken many deer. For my 527 American I ended up ordering a Meopta Meopro 4.5-14x44mm and Warne high rings. I will post pics when I get everything mounted.

That Factory Custom Classic is dreamy! What rings you got on that rig? 50mm obj? I have a 527 American that needs an optic. I have the set of CZ rings that came with the rifle but not a fan of the slotted head screws. I have another 527 Carbine in 7.62x39mm that I love.

I have two Leupold VX-2 2-7x33mm which are under 10 oz and a VX-3i 3.5-10x40mm that runs 12.6 oz. Great scopes. The Leupold VX-3i 2.5-8x36mm is another great option and will likely be my next purchase for a Win 70 in .280 Rem that could use some better glass.

I have looked at Nikon and Vortex. Most are plain heavy...close to 20 oz. I end up going to Leupold each time a rifle needs an optic and can stay around 12-13 oz.

You should be able to find the discontinued VX-2 3-9x40 new on ebay. The VX-R seems to match what you are looking for, for around $500. I recently got a VX-3i 3.5-10x40mm and it's a superb scope for the money...around $300-400.

I can't get over the Henry not having a loading gate and the large font on the barrel. I rather go used/new Marlin or used Winchester 94. I have a 1972 Winchester 94 in 30-30 and it is sweet.

I still walk the late season woods with a Pennsylvania flintlock long rifle my grandfather made. Just good old patched .50 cal round ball and black powder... Kills them dead inside of 100 yards...

While my CZ 527 will shoot sub-MOA at 100 yards with Tula and the Red Army stuff...she really likes Hornady Black SST brass cased. This is my mid-range hunting round this season. The rifle has a Leupold VX-2 2-7x33mm sitting up top on Warne rings.

You can still find brand new VX-2's on eBay. I recently got one from a gun shop that sells on there. I have seen crazy sales on the VX-3i too...so if I had to guess that will be the next discontinued line. I just got a VX-3i 3.5-10X40mm off eBay last week...great glass for the $. Not everyone...

I have recently moved to the Columbus, OH metro area and I am looking for a good range in the area. I prefer private clubs but would consider public outdoor ranges. I woud like to find a place with a 25 yard handgun and a 100 yard rifle range. Can anyone recommend a range? Thanks

What is a good price for a brand new CZ 452 in .22LR? A local dealer gave me the price of $329 for the American model and $349 for the Varmint model. Do those prices seem decent? Thanks- Jason

Does anyone have a experience with or opinions of the Kahr CW9? I found a new one at a local shop for $379. Seems like a decent price to me. Any feedback is appreciated.
