    cap & ball to Illinois

I can certainly understand why all of the confusion about guns and Illinois. Our problem is Chicago runs the entire state. We can also brag about having two former govenors currently in jail. If we went to the state of Chicago and the state of Illinois we could avoid the state of Confusion.

    Real Black

Foto Joe, I thought about the cost issue after I made my post. I would say you are on the money. Even though I make my own lubed wads, doubling the cost of that would be quite a bit more than the fish fry cornmeal. It was just a thought I had while doing some reading on the forum. I load...

    Cooked Right?

I did use weight measurements. As you said perhaps the problem lies in the paraffin. It is called Gulf Wax. The box says it is a "householf paraffin for canning, candlemaking and many other uses". What do you think? Also, can I use the lube I made or should I order more supplies (mutton...

    Cooked Right?

Thanks for the reply. I did use the double boiler and all ingrediants were fully melted so no harm there. Will my current results work or should it be softened? If so, to what consistancy.

    Cooked Right?

Last night I cooked up a batch of a wad lube recipe I found on this forum (the forum is great!). I am just starting out on my black powder adventure and am wondering if I have already made my first mistake. When cooled, the lube set up as hard as a candle. I did not realize it would be that...
