I am contemplating buying a rifle that can take down Hogs. I have read so many opinions. I'm asking what rifle and caliber and scope would be the right one for this. Appreciate your feedback.

I just purchased one from a friend who had no use for it and only fired it once. Her son bought it for protection many years ago,and it was used when he bought it. It was manufactured in 1975. Excellent shape. Any suggestions on a holster.
