Are there any single stuck subcompact real DA pistols?

Beretta Nano is DAO, isn't it?

    .22lr rifle suggestions

Centermass, I have a Savage MK II, it is a tack driver, lots of fun to shoot, and I prefer it to my 10/22.

Ruger LCP 380 - the bad?

Ruger should chamber the LCP in .22-- that would be a home run IMHO. Since Jan 1, my first entry in this thread, my LCP has been flawless.

One Semi-Auto for CC and Home Defense?

My choice would be the S&W M&P9c. I traded away my Glock 26 to buy a second M&P9c. It is sized between the g26 and g19; magazine holds 12, and fits my hand much better. Good luck in your decision~

Ruger LCP 380 - the bad?

Mine has been totally reliable; not a single malfunction. At that price point, it's the best in class IMHO. I never could keep my P3AT running. A dab of orange paint on the front sight and a Hogue grip and you'll have a real shooter.

Looking for first CCW handgun. .380 vs. .40.

Ruger has built a great reputation for guns that are affordable and guaranteed for life with a service department that will take care of you. If you can; rent and handle the Ruger LC9, the SR9c, and the LCP in .380- remember the 9 ammo is much more affordable. Good luck!

Looking for first CCW handgun. .380 vs. .40.

Looking at 9mm.s is really good advice. The ammo is much more affordable; more $ to spend on practice ammo. Look at the Glock 26, S&W M&P 9c, the Shield, the Kahrs, and the Nano. Good luck!

    Tiny .22 LR Semi-Autos

I think Ruger would hit another home run if they would build a .22 LCP

    For my wife:

my wife likes our Ruger revolver (LCR 22). It has helped her with her S&W 642 .38. 8 reliable shots, great trigger, great sights. I can suggest the S&W M&P .22 pistol also. Perfect trainer for a 9 mm. Good luck

A couple of new Ruger LCR's

For me, CCI cases stick, but Blazer doesn't. Have you tried different ammo yet?

    Guns are tools?

When I hear people here say their guns are tools, I hear them saying they aren't magic- they aren't talismans; therefore: "Mindset, Skillset, Toolset- in that order."

Which of these subcompacts would you get?

I would pick the Shield first, then the G26. Have you considered the Beretta Nano? I'm happy with mine.

    Kahr CW9 vs Ruger LC9

I had a LC9 and didn't like the trigger. I ended up choosing the nano over the Kahr- but I'll get a shield eventually.

    Doubles, Triples...more?

Found on "View from the Porch" blog: As Chris Rhines commented in the recent post at Marko's place: I don’t worry too much about the man with only one gun – he probably bought that gun for self defense, ran a box of ammo through it, tossed it in the nightstand, and forgot about it. I...

    Nano range report

I thought it was designed with .40 in mind; and Kahr is doing it with even less weight. The nano felt better to me than the Kahrs; beefier.

    Nano range report

Five days ago, I bought a new Beretta Nano at LGS. Since the purchase; I've shot 150 rds. of 124 gr. fmj Blazer Brass, 200 rds. of Federal Champion 115 gr. fmj, 200 rds. of American Eagle 147 gr. fmj, and 10 rds. of Hornaday Zombie Max 115 gr. z-max. 1 FTE at around round 325- Federal...

    Mousegun Choices

mjkten, a LCP in .22LR would be a must-have gun for me also! I have 3 plinking 22s; beside my Buckmark. A LCR, a Bobcat, and a Bersa T22. The Bersa is also a very fun plinker that won't break the bank. I hope to see pics and a range report when you make your decision!

    Mousegun Choices

I really like my Beretta Bobcat; but in my experience, it's not very reliable. It must be kept very clean, and is very picky about the ammo its fed. It is one of my very favorite .22s to take to the range; but only 1 time have I been able to shoot an entire box of CCI mini-mags without a...

Columbia, SC police department adopting FN FNS-9

Did the FNS ever go through the NATO tests? Just curious. I think I read or heard that Caracal did.
