    mabey a factory rebuild m96 is an option? they are called cg 63 and are build for 300 matches , everything breathes quality on these rifles , and i know i like mine ! i do cast my own bullets for this rifle , i also paperpatch the bullets.

    i think your right. i too the revolver to a gunsmith and he is gonna make the gap somewhat smaller , i think the word for it is peening. well see how it works out , its an inexpensive repair .

    Gun oil

    the oil i use is a mix of 50/50 atf dexron 3 and engine oil 10w40 . i add some aceton to the mix. works really well in both my revolvers , my carbine and my bold action rifle. i use it for cleaning and lubrication , never let me down so far.

    thanks for the replys the forcing cone has some leading after the revolver is shot , but i clean it every time i got back from the range. good tip on the timing , lock up is on time though. next time i go to get some shooting supplys i ll take this revolver with me to let a gunsmith check...

    forgot to mention that the 686 has the same lead deposits when shot with the .38 spec cartridge , 3.1 gr of bullseye , 148 gr wadcutter.

    i just took a look at the airsoft section of a gunshop nearby. the sell round bb gun ammunition , 6mm, 0,25 gram. its made of some sort of plastic , bio degradable. maby this would be a nice option?

    hmmm, just found out that the use of lead shot is prohibited over here in holland in fact its illegal , and one could be procecuded for it and his license withdrawn. dont know if i want my husky exposed to steelshot . are there alternativs for such an old side by side?

    good info there busyhands ! the target load you mentioned got me somewhat puzzled. like 2.5 drams , what would that be in volume [grains] ? the mentioned 1 ounce [?] is that also a by volume measured ammount. for me the goal would be to be able to use scoops rather then a scale.
