    Would You Schofield?

I have a five inch Uberti Schofield in 45colt that I bought a couple of years ago for just a bit over $1000.00. I shoot an SAA much better, maybe I just need to grow longer fingers. Been thinking about sending it down the road.

    2024 Hodgdon Annual Manual

My complaint about the annual manual is that last year they dropped the 6mm BR so now I have to go on line to see if any new powders are available for it.

    Reloading 30 carbine

I've always used H110, but friends have had excellent results using Little.gun. it is my understanding that H110 was the powder used in WW2.

    Wayne LaPierre is resigning.

I am happy to see Wayne leave but a bit apprehensive about who the replacement will be. Voting is not limited to life members, I believe five years of annual membership gives you voting rights. I've been an annual member since 1964 and have been able to vote for quite some time.

Winchester 6.5 StaBall in the 6.5CM... how good is it?

When I started working up loads for my 6 Creedmore I was not impressed with my results with IMR 4350 and don't have any H to try.

Winchester 6.5 StaBall in the 6.5CM... how good is it?

Using Staball 6.5 in my Savage 6mm Creedmore I have shot several one hole 5 shot groups, very happy with it so far. Last spring I started using Staball Match in my 6mm br it seems to be more consistent than the H322 I was using. Now if I can find more of it.

    Who taught you to handload?

Started in 1966 loading 222 and 243 using my Lyman manual and my trusty C&H press. Didn't know anyone that reloaded at the time.

Now why did I do that? Vol. 4, Ch. 7

I think someone has sneaking into my shop and hiding stuff like the pound of powder I just bought. I am starting to suspect the cat she has been acting suspiciously of late.

Refinishing Blond Maple Wood Stock & Hand guard

The maple stock on my muzzle loader kit was giving me fits until a friend of mine told me to use water based stain. That was 50 years ago and it still looks great.

Now that's how you do it Lee

I like Lee collet neck dies, crimp dies, the fact that they make custom collet and push thru bullet sizing dies at a reasonable price. Don't like that a lot of their die bodies are too short to fit the lock nut on when using the Lock N Load bushings on my Hornady press.

Have you ever had a bad set of dies?

Back in the mid sixtys a friend of mine bought a set of Herters 30-06 dies, the sizing die left a curve in the brass. After sizing you couldn't roll the brass across a table. Herters did replace the die.

    Match burner?

    Primers
