Thinking about picking up a PT58HC .380 automatic. It's a stainless Cheetah clone with a 19rd magazine. If I get it I'm going to want to change the grips, and I'm wondering what kind of grips fit on it. I've heard 92FS grips fit, but I want to know for sure.

In most states if he's already in your house(and especially if he's grabbing your gun as Srigs pointed out) you can defend yourself with that gun. You'd have to be a hard mother to grab for the barrel of a shotgun, but yeah I suppose it would be easier to grab a 30" barrel than a 20" one. So...

I don't want to start a new thread on .50's, but I'm looking at a couple models. Mainly the Serbu BFG-50A, although it isn't out yet. Also looking at the Barrett 95 and a few of the Cobb rifles. Problem is, I can't seem to find any websites online with prices for the Barrett or Cobb rifles...

The trick is to tie a shoestring or whatever to the end of the shakelight, and then you sling it about in circles for a minute or so, it really doesn't tire you out, and it works a lot better than shaking it in your hand. That said, a solar-powered battery charger would be a lot better.

Douglas - Thanks for your thoughts. I guess I would agree, since pulling the trigger should be a last resort option when non-lethal alternatives have been exhausted or put out of the question.

I have a 9mm Sig, and I think that it is reliable enough that I would never need a back-up, and that carrying a spare 15rd magazine would be a better alternative to a spare gun. However, other people may be in different situations than me(or maybe they don't carry as reliable of weapons:)...
