I had an FN FNP .45, i was using Winchester white box and had the same problem you were describing, slide cycled but no round in chamber. turns out it was the lack of attention to detail from Winchester. the cartridge overall lengths were not all within the specs that the magazine would allow...

the Spyderco Tasman Salt is the knife I carry the most. I find it works very well at everyday tasks like opening packages, letters, cleaning fingernails, etc. once I got the edge bevels to meet with a lansky it has been very easy to resharpen.

Sorry I don't have any details for you rc, but it looks very similar in construction to one I have, only with a bayonet style blade.

I have found bulk pack federal to be the most reliable in mine.
