The same cars were in the parking lot when I drove by last Friday that are there every Friday when I drive by. There is one Jeep and one pickup that are very easy to recognize. I live about 25 miles away and pass by when I go to town on Fridays.
Too bad they door is only open on Tuesday and...
My son is Henry Samuel. I never really thought about the gun reference. I wanted to name him Waylon and the next one William. That way Willie, Waylon, and me could ride around singing DAC songs. My wife hates country music almost as bad as I hate alternative music so it didn't fly.

I have a .375 H&H #1. If you open the loading gate with enthusiasm it will pull the cartridge clear and it will fall to the ground. On the other hand, if you gently work the mechanism, sometimes the cartridge will only extract slightly before the extractor slips past the rim.

I mailed my form 4 February 14, check cashed on the 21st. I picked up my Sparrow this morning. It was approved on August 10th.
So, six months and one day turn around time. I am surprised I got it this fast.
They have only been open since the first of the year, that should have been the first red flag.
Can you provide the names of these other gunsmiths? I just sent a barreled receiver to Michigan for a threading job because I couldn't find anybody within 100 miles of Johnson City to do it.

Same dimensions as a standard 3/4" flat washer.

I tried to purchase a new Winchester Safari Express in .375 H&H a few months ago only to be told that they were not available new this year. I tried several reputable stores too. I ended up getting a slightly used Ruger#1 Tropical in .375H&H.
I had a cousin who couldn't figure out why his new Marlin .22 had poor accuracy and a strange report when fired.
One look at the barrel told me the answer. WMR stamped plain as day and he was shooting .22LR.
Can you give some specifics on how you load this combo? Things such as OAL, any case filler or wads, and crimping. It sounds like something I would like to try.
I have several 1895s in.45-70, including an 1895SS. I picked up the SS just because it was a good deal and I figured I would trade it later for another Guide Gun.
The first time I shot it I decided I was keeping it. Shooting 350gr. Hornady RN with 47 grains of IMR4195, we were shooting beer...
