I dont think a standard hider is long enough to be legal. Something like the phantom hider that is longer is needed to get the legal length. Then permanently attached.
What if my wife lost my hammer when she was cleaning ,or my dog ate it,or something strange like that. Could I send the Hammerless gun to Ruger to replace the hammer?
I have both and they do fit each others holsters,but the SP101 is a little tight in the J frame holster.And the J frame is slightly loose in the SP101 holster.
I saw a sp101 with the gold trimmings. It was a limited edition from some distributer, I cant remember who. It also had wood inserts on the grips. Looked good though.
I think you are about right on that it is a tad high.But not much.
