Where to get parts for my CR Speed holster?

Hi, You can order the spare parts kit from the rescomp website: http://www.crspeed.co.za/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=CR%20SPEED%20HOLSTER%20SPARES%20KIT They ship internationally, because that's how I got all of my CR Speed gear. Shipment was pretty speedy too.

Would you run high or hyper velocity 22 ammo in a Browning Buck Mark pistol?

My Buckmark is also very picky. CCI Standard Velocity works fine, but for euro target ammo I have to put in a recoil spring that I have chopped, just to get the slide to cycle properly. Couldn't see too many issues with running stingers. They are pretty sturdy, and is it really a big deal...

The .38 Super, is it still a viable round?

I own a Tanfoglio in .38 super and love it. I had the option of going down the 9mm path, but ultimately preferred the .38sup for a few reasons. 1) To be different 2) Greater flexibility. You can load the .38 super to exceed the performance of a 9mm by a noticeable margin, or you can just...

How should I treat this damage?

Sorry to see that. It's heartbreaking to see something like that. Dremilling it, hand filing it, etc your likely to get noticeable non-uniformity, as some of those gauges look a little deep. Though lopping 1/8'' off the barrel may be a little extreme. A smith should be able clean that up...

    Pirates

Next time you're at the newsstand pick up a mag like the Crusing Helmsman. A lot of yachties arm themselves quite heavily depending on where they intend on sailing to. Pirates and partially submerged sea containers. Two real threats to anyone who is serious about their ocean sailing. Being...

Wow, someone take away this man's guns :D People will always annoy each other. Do what makes you happy, don't make a habit of associating with people who annoy you (and definitely don't marry them).

    Seeking enlightenment on snap-caps

    1. I wouldn't chamber the snap cap though the ejection port, then close the slide onto it with the CZ. Take a closer look at the extractor next time you have the slide off. It's designed so that the rim of the case slips between it and the side from the bottom. It's not intended to travel...

    CCW in foreign countries

col_tapiocca, Am I right that the French lost their defensive license category after their interior minister was elected PM (Sarkozy). Australia: No CCW, and no legislated right to free speech. CCW here and you will get a stern slap on the wrist, unless you actually have a firearms...

My ugly new 1991A1 Colt, (Blood damaged)

That's certainly not a thing of beauty anymore. Perhaps it could serve as a reminder as to the destructive potential of our pistols when not used and enjoyed responsibly, and for the right reasons... Either way I'm glad you like it mate. I would have had it crushed. The only thing...

What does the future of CZ look like?

The CZ75 is one of the most copied/reproduced handguns designs today. They have got that many military contracts they are unlikely to fold up pistol production anytime soon.

    EAA Witness Match

I haven't posted for a long time, but felt compelled to voice my support for the Tanfoglio (or EAA). I've owned the match LE in 38 super for about 12 months now, and put approx 8000 rounds though it. You wont find it in the EAA line up, as it was built exclusively for the Australian market...

Black specks all over arms and face from ammo?

Sounds like flakes of unburnt powder, or power residue. I was getting the same thing with my Tanfoglio with heavy loads using Bullseye power and a light projectile. It actually looked quite pretty when the sun shone though the falling flakes. Putting a firmer crimp on my cases solved the problem.

    .38 Super

Probably because it was never widely accepted by many/any military or police organizations. But it's pretty popular amongst IPSC shooters, as it easily makes major power factor. Apparently it was fairly popular in Mexico too (but more so for political reasons). Really, it's kind of become...
