I'm in a quandry and need help in deciding what to do...

I presently own a Beretta Model 84 .380 ACP (both 84 and 84FS actually) and a Kahr K9 9mm. Both handguns fit my hand and carry very well for my concealed carry purposes. Here is a link related to the above listed hand guns on HandgunHero...

Colt New Police marked New York Police, #1 on grip

If you look at the numerals stamped on the butt (in the link provided by "wcwhitey", pasted below) you can see that the numerals do not appear to have been impressed with the same font size. The font is of a smaller size on the handgun that is shown in the provided link...

    Compact/Full Sized .380s w/locked breech

If you can find one... I think the Beretta Model 84 Cheetah (although large by today's standards) is a comfortable pistol to grip and shoot. Beside that, in .380 acp, it has a thirteen round magazine capacity (in the Free States) or a ten round in those with stricter gun laws.

    Suggest a 380 as a shooter

Big hands... I'd go with the Beretta 85 (single stack magazine). Bigger hands... I'd go with the Beretta 84 (double stacked magazine).

Smith and Wesson Model 640 no dash

I like the S&W 640 so much that I own two of them. I have a 640 (no dash) that I use for pocket carry and a 640-1 for inside the waist band and belt carry.

    .380 ammo brand

AZAndy asked... "What language is it that translates "kurz" as "court?" Where's the stuff made?" My reply... 9mm Corto = Spanish for 9mm short?

If you could only use one handgun for Concealed Carry and all your hunting...

Thermactor said > "Sig Sauer P226. I can put a variety of slides and barrels in to go between .22, 9mm, .357sig and .40 S&W." __________________ I chose a Glock 22 for the exact same reason that Thermactor suggested... except I didn't have to buy any slides as the barrels I purchased would...

What piqued your interest of revolvers?

I guess I'm part of the older generation (57 years old) and as a result I prefer a revolver for concealed carry. The reason for my preference in revolvers is that when I first got into handguns semi-autos were not the most reliable firearms on the market. Don't get me wrong... I've seen some...

Sig P220ST/Glock 21SF: Opinions from LE, please

If your P220 has no issues and you can shoot it well as you say you can... then my opinion would be to carry your P220 and add two extra mags to your duty belt to compensate for what the Glock carries. Stay Safe, -Rick

    SP101 vs. S&W J-frame.

I personally prefer the S&W j-frame and your Dad appears to really like the Ruger. To me the choice is simple... Dad likes the SP101... therefore the SP101 has already been chosen by Dad! ;)

Stag Grips On Dbl Action- Why Not?

Some of Executioner's stag grips Here are several pair of elk/stag grips that "Executioner" made for me. They're shown on J, K, and N frame S&W revolvers. 338835"] 338837"] I've also got a nice high cut set for a S&W 640 that I haven't photographed yet. -Rick

    Revolver Crazed

I'm 54 years old and I own both revolvers and semi-autos. While I like my semi-autos and carry one for work daily... I have a strong preference toward the simplicity and fine synchronized workings of my S&W revolvers. :)

    Help Cleaning Stainless Steel

Buy a stainless steel bristle toothbrush style brush from your gun dealer and use it along with Hoppes #9. Together with a little elbow grease you will remove all traces of burnt carbon from the face of your cylinder and where ever else you decide to use it. :D I have yet to try the brass...

If you could keep only one revolver...

That's a tough question to answer as I own revolvers in several calibers and barrel lengths. Without knowing the exact purpose which this revolver would be used for... I would probably have to choose my 2-1/2" S&W Mod 66. as I think it would cover most of the purposes that I would...

    S&W J-frame Choice

My preference is with the all steel S&W Centennials as I own two. I have a 640 no dash (1-7/8" .38 special) that I carry in a Renegade ankle holster or Mika pocket holster and a 640-1 (2-1/4" .357 magnum) that I carry in a Galco strong side belt holster. My reason for preferring the Centennial...

Let's See Some Pocket Gun Pics

I voted "other" because I carry a S&W 640 in a Mika pocket holster and it wasn't listed in your poll.

S&W 640-1 .357mag: How much is it worth?

I recently purchased a 640-1 (without box) for $400 and I was quite pleased to get it. No lock, smooth trigger pull and it seems to be nicely balanced. If I was looking for a 640 I would definitely buy it.

    J Frame Grips

6Gunslinger, In response to questions in two of your previous threads... I believe that I have read somewhere in the shooting forums that the Uncle Mike's boot grips were designed by Craig Spegel and therefore should be similar in size and relative hand fit. Unless I misunderstood your...

    Is the J-Frame "enough gun"?

In response to the original question "Is the J-Frame enough gun?" I carry a S&W 640 regularly and I think the 38 or 357 J-Frame is sufficient as a CCW... as long as the carrier is willing to commit to it and practice with it regularly. With that said, I also carry a Glock 22 on a daily basis as...
