Remington 700 Pillar Bedding vs. Full Bed Block

I wish the pillar bedding was done @ a gun smith, but it was the pull off Hogue stock that came with the rifle. The reason I'm looking at the stock replacement is I notice the pinch points and I don't feel the barrel truly free floats as it should. I notice some wear on contact points in the...

Remington 700 Pillar Bedding vs. Full Bed Block

Yeah It took working the loads to get the sub .75 groups and it was not easy which is why I didn't want to go through the process again. But my brother has a Savage 10FP and I get better grouping than him consistently on it I would just like to get the same results with my own gear. The Hogue...

Remington 700 Pillar Bedding vs. Full Bed Block

I am looking at a B&C Medalist Stock. I just wanted to get some opinions on weather or not the Full aluminum bedding block will be an improvement over my current Hogue Stock that is Pillar Bedded. Or if I shouldn't waste my time. Currently I am shooting sub 0.75 MOA groups and I've heard...

    Blackhawk Serpa Level III

Thanks for the great feedback everyone. I saw the safariland holster, but from your experience does that thumb guard make the holster too bulky to carry and a bit cumbersome getting in and out of a vehicle? I do like that it sits a bit higher on the hip than the Serpa.

    Blackhawk Serpa Level III

I am between deciding on the Level 2 and Level 3. It will be for OC and not CC. I'm 6'0 215 pounds so having my weapon taken away from me is not a big concern but I would like to have the added security feature as most cowardly attackers would seldom have the confidence to fight one on one so...

    Blackhawk Serpa Level III

Did you ever have issues with the mechanism jamming up?

    Blackhawk Serpa Level III

Has anyone used this holster? I have a Glock 21 and I am looking for a durable holster that is safe. I like the fact that it has 3 systems that hold it in place one being the thumb release. However the complicated mechanisms sometimes make me worry that it will have a greater chance of failure...

    Progressive Press Help

Just wanted to thank everyone for their help! I pressed 150 Rounds and only had one dud (I think it was a bad primer). 8.1 G of Alliant, Winchester Case, Hornady XTP 185 Grain bullets, and CCI Large pistol primers.

    Progressive Press Help

I got it! It was the flare. But i gave the Bullet too much flare so it would not sit in the bullet seater right. I'm going to pick up primers and smokeless powder this weekend and start making live rounds which will be the true test.

    Progressive Press Help

OK. I may have spoke to soon. Once I started feeding cleaned brass through the cycle, the 5th station (Bullet Seating & Crimping) the bullet doesn't stand exactly upright so it does not feed into the die as it does in the other stations. I tried to adjust the die height as well as the tightness...

    Savage 308 Opinions

Yeah the Series 10 Models look nice but the price tag is rough on some models. Ideally I'd like something middle of the road. I wanted the gun for target practice at the range (probably 300-400 yards). I would love to get the Axis since the price point is right but if the performance and quality...

    Savage 308 Opinions

Has anyone ever purchased a Savage Rifle? I'm looking at a few of their rifles which seem loaded and priced well but I'm worried I'll fall prey to "You get what you pay for". I'm considering their Axis Model or their FCXP3 Model with Accu-trigger. Thanks everyone!

    Progressive Press Help

FiftyBMG, That makes sense. I will adjust it tonight. Thank you. And I must say that your link is very informative! They should consider using that as an instructional video for the LNL AP instead of what they have now. And blue68f100, Yes the indexing is off (Rotation). I have the bullet and...

    Progressive Press Help

WOW! Thank you. That is a very in depth link you have. I'll have to bring my lap top down to my reloading bench and go through it step by step. When I adjust the "2 hex driven bolts" it would seem that it would adjust the height of the shell plate during the stroke. The issue I'm having is a...

    Progressive Press Help

fifty BMG: That's exactly the problem. When the Case feeds into the shell plate it's a bit off. I've tried adjusting the shell plate but since this is my first time reloading I'm trying to be super cautious. I got it set up with the bullet and case feeder but that added speed isn't going to help...

    Progressive Press Help

Does anyone have any contacts in Orange County CA that can help adjust a progressive press? I have a Hornady LNL AP and the case does not feed as it should. I'm new to reloading and wanted to make sure I have this set up correctly and wouldn't even mind a tutorial. I will be loading 45 ACP.
