    Magazine ID help?

I'm usually good at identifying magazines but these two have me puzzled. The rifle one is marked E on right side other than that no markings. 30-06 ammo does not fit that well it is ok in length though so I'm thinking it is a magnum caliber like .300 Win mag. It does not look like a Remington...

First Firearm You Ever Fired ?

renegade1alpha, the brown version is known as the Mohawk brown:) My 1st firearms fired, can't remember which order, on same day were a 6" S&W 686, a 4" ss full lug Ruger GP100, a Beretta 92fs and a S&W 9mm, think it was a 639 or maybe a 659.

    Llama Super Comanche

HKS speedloaders for the S&W mod 29 should work well. Replacement grips may be a problem to find and the wood factory grips can be a bit uncomfortable with heavy loads. I fire mainly .44spl out of my Llama.

    Llama Super Comanche

Yes Llama revolvers seem quite unknown to many, don't try to shoot Ruger only level loads in them and they are decent guns. I have 6" examples in .44 and .357mag that are satisfactory. Both blued, .44mag $100usd in late 1999 and .357 $160 in 2006.

    Ferals

There is feral donkeys in mountains in Southern California. I have seen them but it is illegal to shoot them I believe and I don't think they cause problems. On a still night they can be heard braying very loudly though! I think we have coydogs as well. Our hunting regs mention the...

    How to destroy a gun...

I've also salvaged the usable parts from guns I have destroyed or given them away to a gunsmith. I wonder what Sig Sauer will be doing with the clunkers they receive?

    Which 9mm for sub-gun ammo?

Just because a given 9x19 model pistol is also offered in .40 does not really mean it will be a-ok with smg ammo. For one, many 9x19 platform pistols were rushed in to the market in .40 without proper understanding of what it took to make the caliber conversion, spring changes, slide being...

    Which 9mm for sub-gun ammo?

I'd expect locking block and slide/frame cracks with much smg ammo thru a Beretta 92fs,especialy an older one. Have seen it personally with extreme round counts. Durable 9x19's? I'd maybe try a Star 30m and Glock 17 should do ok. BHP may ignite smg ammo but they can be somewhat fragile too...

    Evan Marshall

Are you all Facklerites? :) I try to keep an open mind with stopping power info but I do agree with a fair amount of what Marshall says and a bit of what Fackler says as well. For one I dislike 147gr 9x19 jhp for most applications but to each is own.

    gun shops in europe?

I would think in some areas of Europe face to face paperless transactions are still common, maybe the former Yugoslavia in many areas and in Albania? In my area of USA they are now only legal for long guns over 50 years old.

    Is 9mm OK in a 1911-style pistol?

Star B's can be problematic with jhp or short oal lengths. I believe the B was designed around the 9mm Largo mod A. Remember, it is similar to the .38super round. And the .38super is the same length as a .45acp round. .38super is usually found in it's natural home of 1911 handguns or at...
