What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

I see now that he is using a new tare each time. I missed that part. It now seems like a good plan.

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Bad idea, all cases do not weight the same. This is why you see bench rest shooters weighting everything, including cases. This would particularly dangerous in pistol brass because of the small amounts power used and just a grain or two could cause a dangerous over-load.

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Toprudder my back stop is almost an exact copy of yours. I made mine a couple of years ago and use it with my pistols and AR-15. One thing I didn't do it put in the slight slant in the back stop as you did and mine does not fold up as small as yours. I think your back stop design is better than...

Swager I thought I put the link in already but don't see it in the forum so just in case here it is again. It cost more than I remember but I have had mine for years. Anyway will worth it if you use a lot of military brass. Coz...

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Primer Pocket Reamer RCBS makes a primer pocket expander for military brass to remove the crimp from .223 and .308. It is the best thing and less than $10, when I bought it. I use it with my rock chucker press. One pull and done, no muss, no fuss. With the leverage of the RC it is easy and I...

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

You may need to double if you have lots of brass. 2) Rinse and lay ou in the sun to dry. Or you can...

Really, what is it about clean, shiny brass?

I agree with slipperier 100%. However some friends of mine and I were talking about wiping the case down (At the time case tumbling wasn't around to much and none of us used one) and then use a oily rag after to put a slight oil film on the cases for autos. One of the guys brought up that doing...

Really, what is it about clean, shiny brass?

That is true but we both left out maybe the most important one "jealously". My buddy and I went out to the range and I pulled out my very shiny brass with my very shiny jacketed bullets and he said "Where did you buy those?" and I said "I reloaded them last night". You could see the jealously in...

Wolf SP gone, anyone have a source for small pistol primers

I e-mailed Wolf and they replied "We have no SP primers coming in the near future". That was it. Anyone have lesser expensive source for small pistol primers? TIA The Coz.

Really, what is it about clean, shiny brass?

I asked the original question just wondering. It does not bother or matter to me as I like mine shiny but I was just wondering why it is such a draw to people. Like one poster said, us old folks have a lot of time on our hands:). It was just a question not a judgement of why or why not, just a...

Really, what is it about clean, shiny brass?

I agree about the damage detection, dies and the build up of gunk, however that is just clean, how about the cleaning them until you can see your face in them:), that, is truely the question. The Coz

Really, what is it about clean, shiny brass?

I have read so many post about cleaning brass. Don't get me wrong I love bright shiny brass but why? And why is more like new better that just clean. What do you think? All we all just annal? BTW the best by far (and I have a couple of brass cleaners, one for liquid and one for dry) is the...

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Messy bullet lube when reloading I live in AZ and it gets hot here in the summer Duh. When reloading with cast bullets the lube get a little soft and gooey (My loading room it not kept very cool), if I put them in a bag and in the fridge for a little while it hardens them up and cuts down on...

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

That is a nice bit of work. I went to Dillion's site and found it but did not give much of a discription. Does it check for no powder and too much powder both? Also I see the the blue "thing" does that make a sound when the powder is incorrect? I have a powder cop from Hornady that checks for...

If you are talking about die lock rings Hornady has them on their web site for 4 bucks. Not sure if this is what you are wanting but they look like the pics and are not near as thick as the ones you are showing. http://www.hornady.com/store/Sure-Loc-Lock-Ring-1-Each The Coz

To deprime and size cases prior to vibrate polish or no?

Gloob that is good advise for everyone that does separate stages. I bought several 1 gal buckets from the dollar store and mark them so I don't get confused:). The Coz.
