    School shooting in Finland

They are still good compared to here. In Finland, "Hobby shooting" (I take this to mean "plinking") is a valid reason to get a license. Not so here. Also, no silly restrictions on how a bloody hunting rifle/shotgun can look like. If you want to buy an FAL to hunt with, or a Saiga 12, that's just...

    International laws.

Only three problems with that: 1, it's not your own rifle. What the government giveth, the government taketh. 2, they don't issue any ammo for it anymore, and you can't use any you have for a privately held weapon either because: 3, they are now required to be locked with a thingummy stuck...

    International laws.

Yeah, a small shot. I do remember seeing posters about SMG matches and the organization in my air rifle club when I was a wee kid. Dunno WHERE they held matches, but I guess close to some military shooting range. Funny that, with the "sporting purpose". Is there any other place that has...

    International laws.

Seems to be SOP over here. A case from my little town from just a few days ago: A mink breeder called the police (their switch is in GOTHENBURG, 130 km from where we are) about some unknown miscreants intruding on his property. Their response? Call in a report on Monday. This while they had...

    International laws.

Our government hates them. Can't hunt with anything semi automatic based on a military design if it later than 1942 for example. So no SKS, no AK47, no FAL, no AR, no G3's etc. Springfield M1 is a bit iffy. Might be legal. Very likely to be illegal though. Garands, M1 Carbines, AG42 Ljungman and...

    International laws.

Sort of true. I know that here atleast, there are, or atleast used to be provisions in the law for getting a license to carry. OTOH, it's nearly impossible to get one. So in theory, you can get one. In reality, you can forget it. Won't happen, ever.

Pro-RKBA European residents please stand up

I live in Europe, and I support the RKBA. No, I'm not particularly worried about criminals suddenly arming themselves (they are already armed, unless I dreamt about reading of that police station that got an entire mag from an AK47 through one of its windows).

If you had $20,000 to spend on firearms, what would you get?

Assuming I wouldn't have to bother with licensing and such nonsense, and that I could have them for the prices they fetch here on auctions/in the shops... Swedish K SMG. Would cost me probably...$300-500 perhaps, in good condition. FN FAL: $7-800?~ FN FNC: $600~ Supressed and scoped...

    "Foreign Enemies" sneak preview

Sir, that is the most chilling thing I've ever read in my entire life. And I'm glad I read it. I shall have to buy your earlier books as well as this one when it hits the stores. And I should really get myself a couple of rifles...I can see similar things happening here...

What gun control measures do you support?

None. Gun control fails to work it's magic over here, that's for sure...

Just for fun, show off your photochops!

Not bad. Were I to do one like that, I'd probably do something like this: http://www.bmezine.com/tattoo/A80126/high/npc4-my-tattoos.jpg Only a rattler instead, and with two crossed rifles behind it.

    You think YOU'RE brand loyal?

Very nice tattoo! On tattoo after care: Funny how that works. All tattoo artists have their own opinion on the best aftercare. I've never covered mine up with plastic wrap before showers. Usually I just leave the wrap my artist puts on it for the next 24 hours or so. After that, my artist...

Dont bring a kinfe to.... never mind

Afy: Any link to that carbine? I've got to see that. Then weep because I can't afford it (also living in the wrong country).

    You think YOU'RE brand loyal?

Nice ink, but I hope you know that it's addictive? Means your wife will spend all her (and your) gun money on more tattoos!

    Мать Коллекция России

The IRA did manufacture their own submachine guns, which they named "The Avenger".

    Мать Коллекция России

You might be able to find Krag-Jørgensen rifles somewhere. Might be cheaper than a Kongsberg Colt.

Did the US write most of Europe's gun laws after WWII?

Sure, and in theory I can have stuff that you guys can only dream about with your current laws. Only a minor problem - getting an actual license for it. If I could get a license, I would be able to buy, oh, a UMP45 submachine gun for, oh, say $1200-1500? Not too bad IMHO. If I only could get a...

Did the US write most of Europe's gun laws after WWII?

IIRC, many of the gun laws in continental Western Europe is the result of the pressure of "doing something" against leftist terrorists during the 60's and 70's. From what I've read, Germany was disarmed after WW2, a few years after they could buy pretty much anything again, and then the RAF...
