I agree with two major points being made here. The first is looking at the pictures the OP isn't really flattening primers. Second, HS-6 is not the best powder for what the OP is trying to accomplish. Too slow.

Anyone that is consuming +/- 1000 rounds per month should consider one of the better progressive presses out there. Do that and you will not hate yourself after a few months pass by.

If the Ruger is "tight" as the OP states then it isn't "well worn".

Every now and then, for a variety of reasons, I will push the lever down when there isn't a primer loaded. This causes the plug to get jammed into the unprimed primer pocket. I keep an extra decapping pin around, that and a small hammer to push the plug out of the primer pocket.
