If you had $2000 to build an AR-15...

Most folks don't think of 50 beo as an "sub- MOA" round, but we took a friends beowulf upper, lapped it, free floated it, and it shoots half in groups with no trouble. One hole most times... then again, with the size of that round that's almost half inch! LOL

If you had $2000 to build an AR-15...

Doesn't matter what barrel you put on it...if its not perpendicular to the upper receiver / bolt alignment its not going to shoot straight. But actually the barrel is most important, along with trigger, optics, care in how its built, consistency in ammo; and very important, consistent technique.

If you had $2000 to build an AR-15...

I would buy a Spike's tactical lower & parts from AIM. Then go to DEZ Arms and get a 16" Match Hbar fluted upper, install a Yankee Hill lightweight quad rail with honed Rock River two stage trigger. All for just over 700 bucks. Hand Lap the face of the stripped upper and bolt, then buy a...

Is this one reason our gun rights are slowly being stripped away?

Springfield, great job! Write often and write loud and concise. The libs will still never understand, as Glenn Beck said in "Arguing with Idiots". But at least someone else reading it that's not as jaded will see the light. As was mentioned...they need to look at the 'cause for the killing...

Can someone help me understand scopes a bit better?

I hunt same animals using 30-06, 308 in NC. I love my Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14X40 with Side focus and Bullet Drop Compensator recticle on both rifles. You can focus in at 50 yards or zoom right out to 300 in a sec. Light gathering is amazing for the size, and the recticle has something about...

About to start a custom build on an AR

I have two Eotechs on my AR's. One has an Aimpoint (older military version). With availability of AA batteries I would take the Eotech 512 ten to one over the Aimpoint for what you say youre using it for. Just my opinion. Also the Eotech is much more stable and shock resistant than the...
