Pink Bullets: October Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I bought a couple of boxes of 148 grain wadcutters for my wife's .38 Special. She is going on eight years as a Breast Cancer survivor and is big into anything pink going for BC research. I applaud Falcon for their effort to raise awareness and a bit of money for the cause. I wrote a quick email...

Missouri Bullets- a top notch Company

I have been thrilled with the quality of bullets I have received from MBC in the past. I just wish I had the powder to load more of them!

    9mm bullet weight question

After playing around with a number of bullet weights, shapes and compositions, I finally settled on Precision Delta 124 gr FMJ or Precision Delta 124 gr JHP. Both shoot equally well in my XD9SC. My accuracy suffers a bit when going down to the 115 grain bullets and I've never found a 147 gr load...

148 gr vs 158 gr bullet for 38 sp

I don't know about the Dardas. Precision Delta sells a 148 gr. HBWC.

    Light Load Powders

I use a lot of W231 for light loads in 9mm, .38 Special and .40 S&W. I also use a lot of Trail Boss for the .38 Special. I really like the W231, though, because I get great accuracy with light loads and standard loads.

Whats your go to 9mm load?

My plinking load is 4.3 grains of W231/HP-38 behind 124 grain FMJ in my XD9sc. As always, work up your loads for your guns.

    Best powder for a 9mm

My XDsc and SR9 both love the W231 loads I have worked up. Sent from my SCH-I535

accurate powder load data for 9 MM

I have consistently found the best accuracy with both of my 9 mm pistols when using W231/HP-38 at levels significantly lower than max. I've had to run closer to max (but not all the way there) when using Unique. In either case, though, I started just above the start load and worked up in small...

How Do You Guys Organize Your Log Book/Journal?

I run separate sheets for each firearm. I have two 9 mm and two .40 S&W. I found a 9mm load that both pistols like, but the .40s are far apart. I wouldn't have known that if I had kept records by caliber instead of firearm. Scott

Where do I find hsm reloading data

As a new reloader, I was told to get the FCD for each caliber I reload. I had major accuracy problems and found the die to be shaving the bullet. Another reloader told me how to set up my seat/crimp die properly and I haven't picked up the FCD since. Fortunately it was one of the cheaper...

    reloading for friends question

I am happy to work with a new reloader to help them learn the ropes. I am also happy to let them reload on my press; even with my components for a couple of close friends who are in a bit of a financial pinch right now. I'll stand beside them and talk them through step by step, but I don't load...

    Unique Questions

Although I don't load either of those calibers, I do use a lot of Unique. I have found Unique to be very smoky and dirty at low to mid-range loads. It seems to burn much cleaner for me when loaded in the higher ranges, both with lead and jacketed bullets. I know the lube is the biggest issue...

    Reloading kit vs. ala cart

I can't speak for the Rockchucker kit, but I can tell you about my experience with a kit from a different manufacturer. I have ended up replacing virtually every component in the kit except the press. I would have saved money in the long run by just buying ala carte. I would buy one of Brian...

    Unique difficult to ignite?

I can't provide any scientific data on Unique's tendency to ignite, but I can share my experiences with Unique. I started reloading using only Unique because it was versatile enough to work effectively in all three calibers I reload. Everyone reports that Unique is rather dirty and, I suppose it...

    Powder disposal

Is there any green space around the apartment building/complex? Just dump it there and let the grass enjoy it!

Almost squib load in Model 19 with Trail Boss

I enjoy working up TB loads for my wife's LCR. They are fun, light-recoil loads for her. I've never seen the issue you have encountered, but I would suspect that you had a powder bridge, or something, that kept you from getting a full load in the case. I always charge ten and then look at them...

    Low recoil 9mm

I put 4.3gr of 231 under a PD 124gr FMJ. It is very accurate in both my XD9sc and my SR9 and my wife can shoot them all day with no complaints. Your results may vary. Always independently verify your loads. Scott Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

    If you're reloading today...

100 .38 Specials down, 9mm coming up next! Still chasing a sweet load for my wife to shoot in her LCR so those take a while. I have my pet 9mm load ready to go on my trusty SS press. It doesn't take me long to get them finished now that I have them all sized, primed and flared. She wants to...
