Well guys im back with some great news. I talked to Smith&Wesson customer service and they decided that they are going to give me a new gun. Didn't even ask me any questions about it just said they would replace it either with a new p99as but it wld be 2 1/2- 3 months before they got anymore...
Well I will def let everyone know how it goes for sure. I was reading another post on here about a guy with same problem as I got with the p99. The mysterious cracked frame ! He sent it in and they said the warranty was up and they couldn't fix it but instead offered him a discount on a new one...
My Walther says KI which would make it a 1998 by your numbers. I also noticed today inside the barrel right past feed ramp where bullet goes in there is some pitting here and there. Any ideas what thats from. Could the guy before me put too hot of load in it and it blew the slide back so hard...
It looks like KI. Which would make it a 1998 by your numbers. I also noticed today when looking at it more carefully. There is some pit marks on the inside of feed ramp port where bullet slides into barrel. What could cause that ? Man a sure picked a winner. Man it sucks that this thing has so...
Ok I called s&w vs today and explained the problem and they are going to send me a shipping box so I can send it to them to check it out. So time will only tell. Thnx to everyone who tried to help me out I sure do appreciate. This website is great !!! I will let ya know what the decision is when...
Well I've heard alot of people on the net saying negative stuff about s&w replacing or fixing it since warranty is only for 1yr to original owner. I'm just going to tell them if they dont fix it and it blows my hand off from shooting it im holding them liable. Lol
Anyone else on here had the same problem with the p99 ? or similar problem and s&w fixed it ? I'm going to call s&w tomorrow call if I get the chance. It just bugs the heck out of me that I got this gun and never even fired it or may never be able to.
Yeah my Walther p22 has been banged arnd and bunch. I've plenty of boxes of ammo thru it and shows mo sign of cracks or breaks. But the Walther p99 looks almost like new and is is racked. Go figure.. Anyone know the number or how I can get ahold of S&W customer service to see if they will help...
Thank you for your reply. Its worth a shot and a heck of alot better than using it as a fishing weight. I hope I can get it fixed. I've been looking to get the p99 for awhile cause of all the good reviews and just how my luck goes I got a broken one.
I just traded a guy my s&w sigma .40 and $150 for his Walther p99 only to get it home and find out the frame has a 2inch crack on the side.I have seen a couple others on the net with crack in exact same place. I dont know what to do since i bought it used off armslist and dont think i can send...
