MIne eats Federal bulk just fine. I have 4 Bulldog Machine mags for it. Good LUCK burning up 550 rounds in an afternoon. You mag-loading thumb will give out, before the ammo runs out. :p
Taurus 605 in a pocket holster. Works great with shorts and a tee, if you hafta make a quick run to the local Stop 'N' Rob or some such. I keep it loaded with 125gr. .38 +P's normally.
Mine.
Dedicated .22LR - Tactical Solutions upper, on a complete Precision Aero lower.
Sports;
- ARMS 41b Shilouette folding front sight (this is actually an Airsoft knock-off! Since there ain't no gasblock on a .22LR, its a legitimate cost-cutting measure - Over $100...
Well, upon CLOSER inspection, I guess it's not a TRUE HBAR. :o

They make one in stainless, too, though...
It's been so long, I can't remember, but was the AMC Eagle built on a CJ-5 or CJ-7 frame/running gear? I know it was ONE of those two!
Isn't that ol' boy who still HAS an "AMC dealership" down your way?
If you're shooting beyond 200 yards, get a scope (and I'd be looking at a Trijicon/Leupold/SWFA at a minimum for that); if less distance than that, stick with an elctrodot. An EOTech is a fine choice in that regards.
I've got an HBAR profile BCM mid-length rifle. "Heavy" is a relative term in the AR would. With a Comp M2 optic, Troy MRF rails, Magpul furniture and sling, it weighs around 8lbs, but I wouldn't call it "heavy" for the breed. Is it heavier than an M4 profile or pencil barrel would be? Sure...
For a Yankee state (I'm 9 generations from NC) PA is very not-too-shabby on firearms regulations :D
Are we neighbors, perchance? I'm in da' 'BURGH, for reference!
NONE, so far! Reading threads like this from other owners on other boards though, has sufficiently intimidated from attempting to take it apart yet.
Having owned it for almost two years now, I FINALLY shot it about 3 weeks ago. Put 8 mags through it with nary a hitch. No major breakdown...
Absolutely. I had Addax out of Los Angeles build me a custom 14.5" upper a few years ago, specifying a Sabre barrel, in fact. Their barrels are REKNOWNED for quality & accuracy.
Would love to have gotten a Sabre rifle before they went under. If a used one happened along, that hadn't been...
I streamlined my collection after 9/11 - got rid of every pistol that wasn't a 1911 in .45, and that was about a dozen pistols!
That's when I started focusing on my rifle collection as well. Primarily 5.56 AR's.
"RE-assembly" is a common complaint of Mk.III owners. I understand a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering helps. :o
That said, I plan on just using a LOTTA q-tips and cleaning the bore, until I feel the need to remove the grips and finally soak it in "something." And PRAY that that works! :uhoh:
