    AR advice/help needed!! PLEASE!!!!

It sounds like a previous round did not clear the barrel and another was fired behind it, I did the same thing with a mini 14 and everything blew apart and ears rang. I received a new mini from Ruger.

Searcy county Ar - fall hunting

Here is a link to the 2006-2007 harvest, if you scroll down to the map it shows harvest by county. I think the state has plenty of deer and not enough hunters. http://www.agfc.com/resources/Publications/deer_report_2006-07.pdf

First Attempt at Prairie Dogging = Success!

If you find a town that has good numbers and they are not gun shy a semi auto is a lot of fun. You could start off with a 22 LR, if they have been shot at, you need a good bolt and bullet combo to reach the 200-300 yd ones. First crack of the center fire usually sends them running for cover...

First Attempt at Prairie Dogging = Success!

I had some buddies talking about building a trailer with shooting stands or benches like the one previously mentioned. Would that be legal in your state? I would shoot from a plastic folding table a camp chairs with a canopy over us.

First Attempt at Prairie Dogging = Success!

I love to shoot them with 223 Nosler bt from my mini 14, most shots are within 200 yds, gotta love the 20 rd mags! We would hunt pheasant in SD and finish early for pdogs in the afternoon! We shot some in the panhandle of OK and the farmers don't ask your name but how much ammo do you have left.

What are people's thoughts on Hodgdon 's Varget Smokeless Powder?

Works great for my Savage Stevens 223 but it does not do as well in my mini 14's as faster powders like RL7 &RL10.

    Prairie Doggin' 2012

We always shoot some Pdogs on our South Dakota pheasant hunts. A couple years ago we went thru the pan handle of Oklahoma and shot some. The farmers were glad to see us! They did not ask your name but how much ammo do you have? Come over to my place if you can, I live over there .....I need...

I howl them in with Primos hand calls, I love watching Primos videos with Randy Anderson. You can check them out at CallingAllCoyotes.com, he has very educational step by step videos and you can start off on the cheap or go all out with an electronic caller.

    Dream hunts?

I have gone pheasant hunting in the fall to this place several times. http://mu****zringnecks.com/ Some members of our party would bow hunt mulies and whitetail in the morning and evening and then join the group for 10 am to 4 pm pheasant hunting. I would get up early and look for...

    Hunting in Alaska advice

I like to keep common guns calibers, if you have a gun sited in on your favorite round and forget that box of ammo on a hunt, it makes it easy to get and resight in your rifle. If you get a big uncommon caliber and forget the ammo, you stuck with a side arm. I want to got to Alaska someday and...

Time to buy a Wolf License!

I hear a lot of people talk how the wolves have destroyed deer/elk heards, farmers will shoot on sight, they do a lot more damage than coyotes to cattle heards.
