If you could have only one pistol?

I love the "one handgun" scenario but I would have to go with my 629, 4" barrel, with factory combats. Doesn't get any better than this!

What rifle and scope would you pick for all your Medium to Big Game hunting, in the lower 48 states?

My go to rifle is my trusty Ruger M77 in .270Win. Topped with a Leupold 4.5-14 scope. Shot many deer and a few woodchucks over the years. Find what works for you and stick with it.

Primers in stock, prices going back up

I was reloading the other day, some .270s with SSTs, my favorite deer load. I noticed the primers I were using were WLRs and came from a box of 1000. Not sure how old these were, but the price on the box, for 1000 mind you, was $14.81. I know I bought them new, but can't remember when. Thought...

Ankle Holster For Shield 40 Gen 1

I use an ankle holster when other options are inconvenient. I prefer the nylon with velcro ones that are very inexpensive and comfortable for all day carry. The "cons" are probably not the fastest access. Also, you may forget that you are wearing it.

K frames and Bullseye… too much fun!

I have a couple K-frames and a few others. Can't decide on a favorite, but I really like my Ks with mild wadcutters.

    Your archery practice methods?

I've gone from recurve, to compound, to really nice compound, then had open heart surgery. Couldn't pull my compound back so I sold it. After 5 years of healing and trying to get back in shape, I bought a very nice, take-down recurve. Something I always wanted. At 67 I was starting all over...

Lyman sizer lube die in RCBS Lub-o-Matic 2

I use a RCBS sizer lube-o-matic 2 and it works well. The problem I had was I couldn't find a RCBS,.401 lube die so I bought a Lyman die and the correct top punch and figured I was good to go. After numerous attempts of trying to set the right depth to achieve a sized bullet and a full lube...

Which gun myth(s) did you used to believe?

I heard many Viet-Nam vets talk about how the enemy used "tumbling" bullets and that they could use our ammo but we couldn't use theirs. In other conflicts around the globe, enemy combatants would turn their rear sights up to maximum yardage to increase the power of the bullets they were firing...

Identity and Date of Manufacture of S&W Revolvers

Hi. I just acquired a Smith and Wesson 624, 44 spl., 3" barrel, Lew Horton edition, round butt, serial# ALW5036, stainless steel, 6 shot, adjustable sights. Can you tell me the correct product code for this revolver? It is either #103580 or #103583. Thanks, TSR

Your best shot with a handgun intentional or not

Second day of deer season, just at first light, I was searching for a tree to climb up in and settle down for the morning hunt. I hear all these truck doors slam and guys talking while they load their shotguns. The guys fan out, about 8 or 10 of them, and start walking through this hay field...
