anyone else here that has experience with the 15-22?

Really like mine a lot too. Bought one for my brother, for his birthday, over a year ago and liked it so much I got my own a few months later. Put a Burris 1-3x scope on it. Halfway considering getting another one, as I really like the Mag-pul editions they came out with....

    Reeder vs Bowen

paul105- Exactly what I want! :cuss: (cussing because I don't have it. great-looking gun!) There's been a recurring one on gunbroker, in 357/9mm with ivory micarta grips that I've lusted over too. Around $3k.

    Reeder vs Bowen

Thanks for all the feedback! Had pretty much made my decision before posting, but still wanted some other opinions. Yes, the Reeders are/can be very gaudy. Whichever package I ended up with was going to be sans any adornment. My main draw(no pun intended) to him was the gunfighter grip frame...

    Reeder vs Bowen

I know there are a lot of great custom smiths out there, but these are the two companies I've narrowed down for a project Ruger SA(4"bbl Bisley, for plinking). Looking for feedback from those of you who've had or have guns from both, which you prefer and why. Thanks!

    Bushnell ACOG

+1 on the sparc, and it comes with a screw-on 2x converter.

    Business courtesy?

No offense meant towards any LGS owners here, but a good 90% or more of LGS owners are awful business owners. Most of them get into gun sales because of a genuine interest in guns, but have no prior business experience. My brother was in the gun business(wholesale distributor, then factory rep)...

    S&W 945 Compact, holster options...?

It's a Performance Center model. Mostly 1911-like, but a little different grip angle. Trigger pull is really nice and overall fit is very tight. The full-size versions are suppose to be very accurate, but not sure what to expect of the compact model. Hope to shoot it tomorrow.... A couple of...

    S&W 945 Compact, holster options...?

I just picked up one of these. To current/previous owners- what size holsters do you use for this gun? Will it fit in 1911 Officer-sized rigs?

    Zanotti Armor Safe

Great safes! Have had mine about 7yrs. Besides easier navigation up stairs and through narrow doorways, it also gives you the ability to build the safe inside a closet that has too small of a door to fit through, making theft that much harder. You can save a bit on the price if you pick them...

    9mm/Fixed Mag/Pistol Grip Rifle/Carbine?

Sorry, I guess I was a bit off base with my previous answer. The Fed law considers a thumbhole stock a qualifying loophole, but CA doesn't. Asked the people at the Beretta Shotshow booth this question today and none of them could tell me the status of the Storm in CA. They referred me to one of...

    9mm/Fixed Mag/Pistol Grip Rifle/Carbine?

Wait for the new Beretta carbine, it should be CA-certified soon. Takes M92(or 96) pistol mags. You could also get a Mech-tec carbine conversion kit for 1911's & glock pistols. Some vendors won't ship to CA, but it isn't illegal here per se.

Pistol caliber lever action carbine: Winchester or Marlin?

I always had a real urge to get a 94 .44 carbine and would just about do it every time Big5 had them on sale. However, when I finally bought one I ended up with the Marlin 1984C(w/16" ported bbl). It was about $100 more but worth every bit of that, in terms of fit & finish. To look at them...

    Armed Forces Rifle Qualifications

Been a long time for me(about 20yrs), but here's how we did it in the Army: 40 shots from prone, and standing in a foxhole. 25m to 200m. The targets were slightly smaller than life size and were mid-torso & head green silhouettes. They would pop up for varying times, depending on range. I think...

    FNFAL vs BAR

There was nothing 'wrong' with the BAR, just a different type weapon than an M14/M1. BAR's are big, heavy guns, more like a modern Squad Automatic Weapon than a general issue rifle.

    Ruger SP101 Weigand Special

No experience with the 101, but have a Weigand 642 with the full treatment that is awesome. The DA trigger pull is about 7-8lbs and really smooth, so smooth that I've had a few unintentional double-taps at the range with it. Ports are pretty effective & easy to clean(WD40 & a few q-tips). I was...
