    CC insurance

Your homeowner policy and umbrella will cover for civil liability...not a criminal one. You should get a name and number of a good defense attorney to put in your contact, I did.

Why are we getting so ripped off on 22LR ammo now?

It will follow the 9mm trend. Once available, 9mm have stayed around $15/50 give or take. Even Wally World raised their price of 100 round federal to $30. Recently, I saw the price drop back to pre Sandy Hook price of $25ish at Wally World. Supply and demand...

    New 9mm

For home defense, I would favor the USP and the P226. Longer sight radius, larger gun for control,, better suited than the 19. H&K USP. Advantage. Overbuilt for 9mm, ability to change gun to cock and lock, sa/da, dao...etc. , soft shooting., tough construction. Polygonal barrel...

    Convince me not to sell

Why shoot lead? The only reason I can think of is reloading...the cost savings from reloading 9mm is marginal...especially once you factor your time spent. Keep it and shoot mj.

    Liberty "Franklin" 35 Gun Safe

Franklin is 4th in their lineup from the top Presidential line. It will do what you ask. It is big for 8 to 10 guns. It is 36" wide comparable to smaller safes. Given your budget, if it is just to secure gun from theft, it will be fine.

    Should I trade my glock 26 for a s&w j fram 642?

You already decided to keep the glock and I would agree. Regarding the airweight 642, get it, out is the essential conceal carry gun. There are a lot of valid criticism from the low round capacity to the trigger. It just carry so well...unless you have one, you don't understand. You can carry...

It was a coincidence! It really was!

My daughter just went to her homecoming with a group of girls. She wasn't taking her phone...so I told her. If you need anything sweetie, just wave. I will see you in the rifle scope. She gave me a dirty look as I laughed. ..

My S&W SW9VE that I paid $225...for that price, I'd take that everyday over the other budget models.

    Decisions, Decisions...please help

I am puzzled...since the 34 is the same as the M&P Pro, what would you be gaining with a 34? You are already familiar with the M&P operation and have the magazines... The 34 is a good choice...regardless.

Ideal Minimum Collection for New Gun Owner

Another vote for a shotgun 1st since it is Illinois. It is just more versatile and you can learn good firearm operations, cleaning, and maintenence. I should know. I grew up in Central Il. Hard to find places to shoot past 100 yards in IL.
