    Age of Revolver Fanatics?

Might I suggest that the curve plotted by the data garnered in your survey is not statistically indicative of anything unless compared to age distribution of THR members in general?

Is it just me, am I paranoid?

I feel the same way in big cities, but i'm aware that it's a stress response on my part and not really a rational response to an actual threat. Big difference between what COULD happen and what's actually remotely LIKELY to happen.

    Rock salt shotshells

True deal.... I had a service buddy who got caught as a teenager sneaking into his girlfriend's bedroom window at night. The girl's father was VERY displeased, and a seventeen yr old boy did not QUITE make it over the back fence before having his butt and thighs tore up with a shotshell of rock...

    mice - is 450 fps/ .177/ 5.1 gr steel bb enough?

Actually, I've been using steel bbs to good effect. (No ricochets unless I miss). Thing is, there's a lot of stuff in my kitchen and laundry that wouldn't react well to pellets, bullets, or lead shot. Don't really need the co2 for follow-up shots ... just takes too long to pump & load a single...

    mice - is 450 fps/ .177/ 5.1 gr steel bb enough?

Title says it. Using a 650 FPS single-shot pump to suppliment traps for rodent control (my cats are fairly useless). A co2 repeater with a laser pointer would be quicker into action and possibly more accurate) or at least faster to aim accurately) but I worry that their stated 480 FPS (real...

Manual safetys on semi pistols - yes or no?

IMO, anything that may be carried cocked (SA) needs to be carried cocked & LOCKED. Otherwise, if it can be carried DA hammer down, a passive automatic/ internal firing pin block or other firing pin safety should be adequate. So... 1911s, HPs, CZs, etc (and some HKs) really NEED a manual safety...

    BEST .380 SD Load

I'll second the S&B fmj for penetration. Fiocchi fmj is also good, I think they tend to load them a bit hotter. Use whichever you can get, as long as it feeds, fires, & flings reliably in your wife's gun.
