    Scope bite!

I see a lot of people in the videos shooting without eye protection. Shooting glasses may reduce eye relief slightly, but they can prevent a lot of damage to the face.

Loading .45ACP for the first time.

    1. Springfield 1911s are very happy with SWC 2. Bullseye 3. 200 grain hardcast works well for me 4. The 45 ACP headspaces on the front of the case, not the rim, so 4 die sets are common, with the 4th die being a taper crimp to just remove the bell in the case.

Shooting lead bullets out of a .44 Mag Rifle (Marlin 1894)?

I've been using 240 lead SWC (0.430") with 10 gr of Unique in my Marlin with microgrooves. I don't see any leading after 75 rounds. Lyman's 49th manual says that load ought to have a MV around 1300 fps. I've seen a number of other suggestions that lead bullet diameters should be closer to...

    Whats your Lube????

Carbide dies Before someone else points it out, let me add that I'm talking only about handgun cases, not rifle cases.

    Whats your Lube????

Carbide dies Since carbide resizing dies came out, I don't lube before resizing at all. But I also don't tumble brass to clean it before resizing, so I suspect the powder and other residue from shooting acts as a sort of lubricant. I can tell a difference in resistance between a new brass...
