The G30 is a fine pistol, I shoot it more accurately than any of my other Glocks (G19, G21, previously G36). I have fairly large hands and it settles in pretty naturally. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a do-it-all .45.
My new pocket gun is the S&W Bodyguard .380. I think the initial bugs have been worked out and have been very impressed with the accuracy. EDC is a G30, comparatively, the weight difference alone will want to make you a believer in .380 adequacy.
Had the same issues with my G36. Tried many ammo and technique permutations but could not resolve the reliability issues. Sold. I have 3 other Glocks all w/o a single malfunction to date. Just couldn't trust the 36 I purchased.
I'd say get a Glock but, I'll second the CZ. I have a Tanfoglio full-size, polymer frame .45ACP and it is both accurate and reliable. I think there may be something to the theory that the slide riding within the frame rails make for an inherently accurate design.
