    Yep, that helped. It mostly covered coyote and smaller fur bearers. There was a number to call for deer / bear that was helpful. People are rarely attacked. The biggest concern they had was dogs. There is a pack of wolfs in my town, and a few missing dogs.

    As a landowner in Wisconsin (way up north, in Iron County), there are black bears and occasional wolves that are seen on my street. I can't find many regulations for hunting on my own land. Can I legally shoot them out of season on my property if they pose a threat to myself?

    The 336 Club

    I just bought a new 336w. I thought this would be a good place to get info. I plan to use the Marlin for wolf/coyote protection in northern Wisconsin. I'll probably never shoot greater than 200 yds and usually 50-100 yds. It's also a SHTF gun.
