Thank you for the help...to the ones who tried to help. To the others, who just reminded me why i frequent other forums, i did google 8mm mauser ammo, 8mm ammo, 7.92x57mm ammo, military surplus ammo, and a couple of other word combinations. I also called SOG and am waiting on a callback.

Every site i go to is out of stock for military surplus ammo unless i want to order hundreds of rounds at a time. I did find a site called Southern Ohio Guns that offers the ammo for 3.99/15rds but they do not generate shipping costs. I don't want to comit to buy this ammo and then get charged...

I have just acquired a mauser from a friend of mine. He purchased the gun about 15 years ago for 60 bucks. He was not interested in keeping the gun and was going to take it to a pawn shop. Usually i am not interested in foreign guns, but something about the nostalgia and look of the gun...
