    Colt revolver collectors are weird.

Just a few more pictures in better light. This is the first Colt I've owned with the fire blue still intact on any of the parts. Behold! My one fire blue screw. Thank you for your kind words, everyone.

Royal Hong Kong Police S&W 10-7

That's pretty steep, I didn't pay anything near that. The market still seems to see these as just another model 10. https://www.gunauction.com/buy/17332976 They were originally surplused off for $250. Read this 20 year old thread about values for an idea of how dirt cheap M10's were back then...

They aren't still being surplused, but you can find them out there. https://fugatefirearms.com/product/1983-smith-wesson-10-royal-hong-kong-police/

Royal Hong Kong Police S&W 10-7

Here's another one that came out of gun jail this week. An RHKP surplus S&W 10-7. The RHKP carried M10's for a few decades before they were worn enough that they decided to order replacements. Once the replacement M10's arrived the RHKP decided nah, we are going to use Glocks. So the majority of...

    Turnbull S&W M15-8

I like their work, their cch is pretty vibrant. I emailed them about a restoration on a Marlin 1894, I never got a response though. They HAVE to be cheaper than Turnbull.

    Stunning 29-2 4” Class B Engraving $999?!?! HOW??

Two weeks is a long time. Darn near long enough to forget you already have a gun waiting to clear before you want to go hunting for the next one.

    $600 Winchester 1894 SRC

I think the front sight blade is a replacement to match the replaced Marbles rear sight. From research it looks like standard sights were a ladder rear and flat blade front. Hard to see clearly but the screw in the upper tang hole is dome headed, and longer than necessary, probably part of the...

    $600 Winchester 1894 SRC

Good guess, when I got the gun the stock was loose and had a stock screw that was too long with an undersized head. No doubt for the tang sight that was taken off the gun before being sold.

    $600 Winchester 1894 SRC

Ironically enough I found this while I was proving the point on another thread that there are still affordable old Winchesters out there that anybody can access. Found on Gunsinternational.com, this uncleaned right out of the box as I received it, except for the replaced stock screw. 1894...

Divine intervention in Sin City: New S&W .44mag

I do believe the heritage series are sleepers in the collecting market even among the PC guns, particularly the 29-9...I paid significantly less for this heritage 29-9 than msrp for S&W's current M29 classic It's got a few features that are unique to the model. 1. It's the last of the last...

We went Saturday an hour before closing. I bet if you go on a weekday in the middle of the day it's more chill

Divine intervention in Sin City: New S&W .44mag

Battlefield Vegas was cool if you plan on stopping in, reasonable prices, great selection. Pretty busy so they try to move you through your session quickly though, no chilling and talking, firing for groups, slow fire...they basically want you to take a few single shots then rip through the rest...

What a bleepshow, Last week I went on a much deserved vacation to Vegas with friends, catch a few shows with friends, spend some disposable income on something other than guns. Well dang, lucky I prepaid for every event we planned on going to, all rooms, fees, and booked a place within walking...

Would you have taken the chance? (GB purchase)

Well, I hope it works out for you But since you asked, if I were going to pay full price for a DW 15-2, I would have chosen a different example. Paying full price for something you suspect might be a parts gun seems strange.

Would you have taken the chance? (GB purchase)

I wouldn't have bought it. Too many mechanical red flags. $300? Yes. $400? Maybe. $600? There is a 6" 15-2 for sale at a LGS here in nice shape for $600 and no shipping/transfer fees, so no.

    Stunning 29-2 4” Class B Engraving $999?!?! HOW??

Yup, you scored big time, tripled up at least. Tease, lol. I would have bought that by phone the moment you told me where it was

Where to find new / used P239 magazines? (9mm)

If p239 mags are out of production, it happened pretty recently because the mags I got were in what looks like modern sig packaging.
