I'm looking to upgrade my Springs in my 1911. I found I can get 15, 17 or 20 lbs Springs. I know the 20 lbs Springs are meant for the 45 acp +p rounds. My question is will the 20 lbs spring interfere with normal operations of regular 45 acp rounds?
I'm just curious about this stuff. I've seen people claim they used it in the military since the 90s but I got out of the Marines in 2010 and only used CLP. Since being out I've used the break free CLP. Is it worth the extra money to get the whole set up or no?

but at the same time a scope would do more harm than good in a home deterrent. lasers for hand guns and cqc i understand but with a scope for long distance is pointless.
i remember my issued m16a2 had to be cleaned throughly after each day on the range or i would have misfeeds like crazy. but that was also a much used and worn rifle that i was probably number 5 or 6 thousand to have been issued .
