Does fluting on a AR rifle barrel really worth the cost???

Yep, it's a false analogy, although the statement about "of the same weight" is true. Bushy's not making that comparison. They're clearly incorrectly alledging that paying the extra $50 to have their fluting job done will stiffen the barrel being fluted. That's wrong, and has nothing to do...

    REM 700 Bolt Locks-Gone

Brownell's also sells an inexpensive tool for compressing the spring and holding it compressed while the pin is driven out.

    The G18 isn't a three-round burst; it's fully-automatic, with a selector.

Has the bloom fallen off the flower for Glocks?

Boats: Since you obviously won't be attending any MENSA meetings, may I suggest something more appropriate for you, like Anachronisms Anonymous?? :)

    Why do Barrels Float?

Fixed barrels are usually either gas-operated or, in the case of .22's, blowback. Barrels on semi's that are not fixed generally (Browning A-5, for example) move back when the shot is fired, causing the action to cycle. Free-floated barrels, of course, is a different subject.

Does fluting on a AR rifle barrel really worth the cost???

Yeager is 100% on this issue. Bushmaster's advertising isn't just misleading; it's false. The statement, "fluting a barrel causes that barrel to be stiffer" is false. Comparing that fluted barrel to a non-fluted barrel of the same weight is a false analogy.

God help me!!! I'm starting to like Glocks...

The Gun Zone is a pretty poor source of information regarding Glocks or any other firearms. It's pretty generally known that Dean Speir, of The Gun Zone, is not only incompetent and ignorant about firearms, but is also a prevaricator. Before he finally removed it, due to numerous complaints...

Are 1911 bull barrels stronger than standard barrels?

Could be wrong, but I don't think the chamber dimensions of a bull barrel are any different than that of a "regular" weight barrel. "Strength" of the barrel would only be an issue if you were using the barrel to hammer nails or as a lever of some kind. The purpose of the bull barrel has...

    Opinions, please; Colt or Glock?

I like my Glocks, but don't have any use for the .45GAP. Given the choices that you name, I'd pick the Colt. If my other choice were a G30, I'd take the G30...for my purposes. Lightweight, 11 rounds of .45ACP, takes pre-ban, 13-rd. G21 mags, accurate, soft-shooting.

    Shooting my Ruger 10/22

Do you have any idea how the gunsmith lightened the trigger? It's pretty easy to drop-in Volquartsen parts, without any spring cutting, etc.

What do I need to load AR mags comfortably and efficiently?

Another advantage of the LULA is that there is absolutely no pressure or wear on the feedlips when loading or unloading with a LULA. I got mine at Brownell's for $15, plus shipping.

    Glock Firing Pin Problem

If there's metal peened on the striker, there'd be clear signs of where the striker's hitting the striker safety. Could be bad metallurgy in the striker, or somebody's dryfired a few thousand times. If the striker safety spring isn't correctly installed, the striker safety will bind...
