i love my standard blued walnut carbine but its not the most accurate thign in the world. I too have a an old old stevens bolt .22 that doesnt like to eject spent shells, ever haha. I picked up the ruger because i didnt have any semi-auto guns to enjoy, and you can never have too many .22s...
my 308 Browning A-Bolt Micro weighs 6 1/4 empty with no optics, so i fugure right around 7 with 3 rounds my scope and sling. It feels very light though because of the cut down dimensions...
http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=168462 Would that be a good buy? It seems that is it a good optic based on the reviews, and the price is right. I'd be using this to a max of 500, bu at that distance I'd just be target shooting for fun to see what im capable of...
Browning rifles are top shelf stuff in my opinion at least. Fit and finish are noticibly nicer than any winchester or remington I've handled(quite a few). I love mine for its accuracy, aesthetics, reliability, and Overall feeling. You won't be disapointed. With that said, i dont think...
Hi guys, I'm looking for a decent scope to compliment my (soon to be) Stevens 200 in 223. I want something in the 6-18/6-24 power range that retains clarity as well as possible at a pricepoint of 150 dollars(or a little more if its really worth it, but no more than 200). I know you get what...
I would reccomend either an 870 youth 20 gauge or a browning bps youth. I own the browning and have handled and shot the remmie, and they are quite similar. My bps has the edge in O/A quality and fit and finish in my opinion, but the remmie and its matte finish will probably be eaiser to...
I have a bone stock 10/22 and love it to death, but mines about 2 years old and I've heard that the new ones come with a less aesthetically pleasing finish (paint?) and plastic pats in the trigger mechanism. Dont quote me on that, and I'm sure someone else will chime in on this. That being...
My 500 is lighter than my dads 870, both 12 gauge 28inchers, just a thought. Another thing is that you can pick up a 18.5 inch barrel for the 500 for ~67 bucks whereas you'll be looking at close to 100 for a similar 870 barrel. I love my 500 but honestly can't say which i prefer between the...
.22LR
.223
.308
.44 mag (in a carbine)
These would be my choices as you have a quiet pest gun, varmint gun, all around light-big game gun, and light fast brush gun. I would however take a 12 gauge if limited to 1 caliber/gauge
Does anyone make them? I havent been able to find any, but maybe I'm missing something. If anyone knows if any company makes such a product, or if no one does, thats fine either, I'd just like to know:confused:
Thats BS from the 1911 snobs, I've seen cases of old 92s with upwards of 200,000 rounds on the original locking block. Look around on berettaforum, you will see lots of people with high round count pistols that have flawess or near flawless reliability records. Dont believe the hype.
Yeah you have to wait and whistle for them to stand up usually, but do keep your eye out for a stevens. There old and rather plain but good shooters and if you find one It'll most likely be quite cheap. Ours used to have a peep sight setup but my dad put a bushnell 1.5-4.5 on it that works...
I raise you a groundhog at ~130 yds. taken with a 60 year old Stevens Model 56 Buckhorn .22  Who needs Heavy Barrel target 22s with 250 dollar trigger groups and 500 dollar scopes :D
I put the gun on fire and the mag disconnect in the middle position, cocked the firing pin, and tapped away with a hammer. once the bolt handle opened, it pulled out with ease and no cleaning rod was needed
Im in the lehigh valley area which is in the far east half. That is a great price, but with gas the way it is, when all is said and done I'll probably break even with just getting one locally. Thanks for the tip tho!. I'll have to stop and check the selecton at the local Dicks they seem to...
