My wife carries an LCP Gen II and my every day carry is an XDs45 3.3. Both guns are exceptionally reliable.

    CHP Card Question

In Texas the LTC is a nice colorful picture ID card like your drivers license. Besides the LTC number it also has your drivers license number on it. It is a legal ID for all state transactions including voting. As a gun owner I love Texas.

    XDs 40 ?

I have the XDs45 and highly recommend the Talon grip. I have average size hands and use the small back strap. By the way I love the 45 and carry it daily. 750 rounds down range. The Crimson Trace is a great addition. Sure glad you like your 40.

    Best Gun Oil ?

Try putting a Q-tip in the oil to oil your gun. You can get as much or as little oil as you want that way.

    Best Gun Oil ?

I did not see a post at the top labeled as a "sticky" but posts 3 and 4 mention Froglube. Your point?

    Best Gun Oil ?

"There's been several threads on different forums that expressed Froglube is coconut oil based (one forum thread did chemical analysis to verify). While coconut oil would work fine, I don't think it would be applicable in cold temperatures (not sure if Froglube has additives to flow in cold...

    Best Gun Oil ?

I started using Froglube on my 3 handguns about 6 months ago. I really do like the Liquid CLP. I did the full treatment with the liquid, paste, and heat in the beginning. Since then I only use the liquid to clean and lubricate with Q-tips and patches for the barrel. I don't think I would buy the...

Questions about new SA XDs 45acp

Yes, I think break in is all you need to do. Mine was stiff in the beginning but is just fine now. 493 down the pipe. I feel the point that you are talking about. You are resting your thumb way too high on top of the slide release. Try resting your thumb in the indention right behind the...

    Beretta Nano: first impressions

Love my Nano. 1355 rounds so far. It was mentioned that the Nano is easy to take down. Well, I made a little tool which I carry on my key ring. I think most of us have old keys that have out lived their usefulness. I picked out one of these and ground it down to use it on the de-cocker and the...

    Beretta Nano Review

JJ, I'm sure you are right about the squeeze Wally World puts on their suppliers. From about last January to June WW carried RWS 124 gr FMJ rounds but suddenly stopped when their stock ran out. I really like this ammo. It is made in Switzerland. I have since been able to find it at Sports...

    Beretta Nano Review

Jelly, I have had excellent results (300 rounds trouble free) using Monarch 115gr FMJ from Academy Sports and Outdoors. It is made by Prvi Partizan Uzice in Serbia, one of the largest ammo makers in Europe. This is inexpensive full powered ammo. I have never used Federal or WWB...

    Beretta Nano Review

Well..............I guess the other choice you have, under dourest, is to throw the gun at the BG as hard as you can and hope to knock him out. :)

    Beretta Nano Review

Try this. With your right hand hold the grip. With your left hand push the slide back enough to take pressure off the spent casing. Use your right thumb to eject the mag. Clear the casing. Put the mag back in. It is really pretty simple to do.

    Beretta Nano Review

"I read several comments from users of that that have tried both CT and Lasermax for the Nano and the Lasermax was reported to attach more solid. I haven't tried this but based on what I read and the price it looks likes Lasermax is what I want for my Nano." The Crimson Trace was too pricey...

"Also thinking about that Lasermax light for it. It seems more solid than the CT laser." What do you base this statement on?

    Beretta Nano Review

I have had my Nano since last January (S/N Nu0018xx) and I thought you might like to know what I think about it. It has been very reliable and I completely trust it for SD carry. I do have a Texas CHL. I've shot 1050 rounds with a total of 6 FTEs, 2 in a 50 round box of Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ...
