No idea what it’s worth but my father in law has one in 7RM. Good shooter and made me do a double take the first time I looked at the barrel and saw it said stainless steel.
Great shooting newtosavage I use Sierra game kings in my savage 7mm rem mag and also load them for my fiances 700 in the same caliber. Both rifles shoot these bullets superbly and the only deer I've killed with one so far has been drt. I'm very pleased with the sierras.
Any chance you'd post a photo of the recovered bullet? I've shot power belts but never hunted with them. I've heard mixed reviews about their on game performance but I'd love to see a nicely mushroomed one! In fact I love looking at any recovered bullets
My favorite hunting pic is my girlfriend Rachel's first archery deer. Killed in sept 2013. She wasn't planning on hunting this particular evening but it was a good looking day and I convinced her to go. We weren't in the stand an hour when this guy walked out and she took the shot. As she...
I believe your friend may have been a little mistaken. This past year in nc the shortest archery season by region was a day under 3 weeks (20 days). In some of the the state the archery season was much longer.
This. What bow do you have? As was stated, if it's hard cammed then I would change arrows if you're going to continue to increase draw weight. If not, I'd just stick with what you've got
love slick trick standard and mag. If looking at g5, then the stryker would be my choice. I haven't had a shot at a deer yet with them though, so no personal experience but they seem very solid, fly well in my bow, and are extremely sharp.
Thats kind of how I feel. My GF decided she was ready for deer hunting last year and once she shot my .270, which is also a marlin xl7, she decided she liked it better than anything else I or her father own. I don't mind, I am always with her when she hunts, and she killed a big doe with it...
thanks, the place we went to was actually right outside of jacksonville, I just don't know if i'm willing to drive 7 hours for gamelands because thats always a gamble, thanks for the idea though!
Well back in December I went to Florida on a hog hunt with a guy I met on Archerytalk. It was simple, we paid a small fee and got to hunt his land. We absolutely loved it. So, we decided to plan another for spring break (I'm in college). We were all set to leave tomorrow, we have everything...
I think it is worth it. I have three rifles with accutriggers, two are deer rifles and one is a .17 personally i really like the accutrigger on all of them.
